    No Good

As a huge Apple fan, I have to give this product one star. This keyboard frequently disconnects, or should I say, ALWAYS disconnecRead morets. I get on my MacBook Pro, which is not even two feet away from where my keyboard is, and it starts to studder. I start to type and it freezes, after the delay, it repeats every character I attempted to type, like this: (evvverryyyyyyyyyyyy). I hit backspace and it deletes the whole message I type and it won't undo. On top of this I get the message "Keyboard Disconnected". Repeat this about a dozen times between responding to two emails and that's the typical performance it provides. Hopefully an update will help out, if not, back to the Apple Store... Funny thing is, the MightyMouse works great!

A bit of a transition but ultimately a fabulous keyboard

I switched from the previous version of the Apple wireless keyboard (with the more standard "thick" keys), and the transition was Read morea bit bumpy. I'm a fast typist & programmer and I found myself stumbling over the keys of the new keyboard, esp. for control characters - would hit the letter a shade before the Ctrl key (actually, the Caps Lock which I remapped to Ctrl) since the keys were so responsive. Took me about 2-3 weeks to stop making mistakes. The flat surface of the keys is a change from the slight concavity of most other keyboards.

But having fully switched over, I find the new keyboard to be a delight. It's fast & easy to type, with much less physical effort - a noticeable plus for people with ergonomic difficulties. I recommend this keyboard with great enthusiasm, though you should buy some rechargeable batteries with it.

The absence of the numeric keypad is **great**. I've never used the keypad before, so having a smaller footprint is nice benefit. Also, it's now possible to have a right-handed mouse in a more ergonomic position, since one can position the mouse + your arm closer to the body.

The main drawback is that I'm now so accustomed to the thin, light touch of the keyboard that for the rare instances when I have to use a clunky old-style keyboard, it can be somewhat uncomfortable to type.

Good keyboard (unless you write a lot of code)

I received my wireless keyboard with my new iMac a couple of days ago and I have to say, it's a pretty good little keyboard. The Read morekeys are appropriately sized and the "throw" is nice for typing e-mails and documents. For general work, it's a good choice.

As nice as the keyboard is, I have to say, it's not great for someone who writes a lot of code. Unlike its full-sized brother, this keyboard lacks a control key on the lower right side of the keyboard which makes it difficult to perform common key sequences like ^A, ^E, ^F, ^B, ^C, ^D, and ^X in a terminal _aw_window. The lack of home/end/page up/page down keys also complicates things a bit.

That said, I'm going to stick with it. The small footprint is just too convenient!

    greatest so far

i got this wireless keyboard yesterday the 17th of Sept. it is the greatest keyboard that i have ever used. i had the old apple Read morepro wireless keyboard before this one, and this one is a lot better. it is small lightweight, but will stay in place on the desk. and it only took about 30 secs or less to pair it with my new 24" iMac. and it is also very easy to type on. i can type a lot faster on it than i can on any other keyboard. and for anyone who wants to know how big it is, it is the exact same size as the macbook pro keyboard.

If the lack of tactile response of Apple's previous keyboards caused you to mistype words, you'll love this keyboard. It looks greRead moreat. It has just the right amount of feedback for your fingertips. And it takes up very little space on your desk. There's no downside here.
