Overview
Eight endless rotary encoder knobs let you get your hands on synth parameters, virtual mixer controls and more. Six transport controls can also assign to control other MIDI parameters. Virtually everything is freely MIDI-assignable--and the backlit LCD screen makes programming easy and intutive. You get 20 memory locations for on-board storage, plus free Enigma editor/librarian software to manage an unlimited number of setups via computer.

It took awhile to get used to, but after that its GOLD! Works great in Ableton and Reason! Garageband doesn't really support alot …Read moreof the knobs and stuff but you get past that! I recommend it to anyone who's interested in music production, working with samples and even DJing!

this is a solid product, cased in hard plastic. the buttons, keys, and knobs all feel good. the pitch shift bends a full octave …Read moredown and up (not a few semi-pitches short like other m-audio keyboards). this is probably over-the-top for a garageband user, but for logic express and probably logic, its great. honestly, i don't use all the knobs and buttons, but this is one of the best and only options for 25-key semi-weighted keyboards. the sides are completely flat and i've taken to setting it up on it's side which clears lots of space when you need it. the blue screen is cool and obviously it's great that it's usb-powered. also has the necessary ins/outs for midi and sustain & expression pedals. my only issue is that the pads aren't as sensitive as i would like (as opposed to akai samplers).

If you're moving from hardware to software, or are just beginning, this is probably the best choice for a MIDI controller IMHO. No…Read more need for an Oxygen 8 and an MPD or Trigger Finger when you can have both in one unit. Some of the available functions may be of no use to Garageband users but Reason users should LOVE this controller.
