As has been mentioned, clean the ipod, wipe your work area and wash your hands. Line up the home button first, and slowly work your way up. Do not drop it down until you are satisfied, as you can lift it up and realign it as many times as you need but once you drop it down then you will need tape to lift it up to fix it. also, dropping it down on the screen all at once will give you air bubbles. It doesn't perfectly fit the edges of the screen, but I have a belkin wave which overlaps the millimeter gap, so it doesn't bother me. I didn't give it the 5th star, as the back protector should cover the entire back, which it doesn't do.

You get one chance and you better do it right! As another poster said, it's almost like you need a clean room! I'm using this on…Read more a 2nd Gen model, so it doesn't fit exact; but after a few weeks, the back is smooth and fits pretty good even though the 2G model is a different shape. Supposedly this is washable and reusable, but I didn't have any luck in that area. It cleaned up nicely (followed instructions to the letter), but it won't stay stuck on either left corner where it was pulled up for removal. Hoping they FINALLY come out with a new one for the 2G model so I can replace and keep it on, for good! Other than that, very nice and you can barely notice it on the screen. I've had no problems with glare, or the need to get an anti-glare screen protector. Definitely would recommend!

I am not going to lie when I was appling my protective screen I felt like I was in surgery. It was a pain, but I would be lost wi…Read morethout it. I will give you some tips. If possible buy this with your ipod touch and do not open your touch until you are ready to apply the film. Find a clean clear spot, make sure your hands are dry and have not dust or oil on them. Hold the film by its edges slowly appling one end and using your free hand to push down working your way up the screen until the film is on. I messed up and got one ugly dot on the screen then I had to start over. I only rinsed it with water then I got my wifes hair plower to dry the thing holding it only by the whole at the bottom and I used the hair blower on cold setting to blow the dust off my Ipod because my polishing cloth was not clear enough. A hastle but now my ipod is clean and clear. I recommend getting the contour hard clear case, but I wish I did not need it.

Terrible waste of money

Within 5 minutes, this product was completely useless and ruined. In an attempt to apply the film to the screen, there were sever…Read moreal air bubbles underneath. After removing the film, there were fingerprints all over it. Then I tried to clean it (as the instructions noted, easy to do with soap and water), which only caused the film to become even more dirty. And then to top it all off, the residue that is used to hold the film to the screen eventually began peeling off during cleaning, so it no longer even held to the screen. I had to throw it away because it was completely useless. So glad I wasted $15
