When I first purchased my iPhone 3G I purchased the Agent 18 ClearShield because it was one of the cheaper cases. You definitely g…Read moreet what you pay for with this iPhone case! The poor design of the case allows dirt (from your pockets or else where) to get trapped in-between the screen and the case itself and after only one week of use caused scuff marks all around the perimeter of my screen on my newly purchased iPhone. The reason for this is because the case was not made to sit flush to the screen, which ultimately allows small dirt or dust particles to get wedged, and after a while causes scuff marks. Not only does the poor design of case allow small dirt particles to scuff the surface of the iPhone screen, but when dropped the case does not protect the phone in anyway.
The case is just a simple snap case. It is made of two halves the front half and the back half. You are supposed to be able to put your phone in it “snap” it together and presto your phone is safe…….WRONG. With the slightest jolt the case splits in half releasing the phone from the "protective case" and puts your phone in danger of hitting a hard surface. The case does not stay intact when it hits the ground. So you may ask yourself what is the point of buying a case for your phone when the case does nothing to protect it……..there isn’t one. This has happened to me twice and each time, my phone fell out of my pocket, the case fell apart, and my phone ended up with gashes on it.
In conclusion the Agent18 ClearShield may look nice, but the design is very poor. The case will ultimately cause more scratches then prevent them. I have since switched cases and must say that the incase brand of iPhone cases are a much better brand of protective case.
*NOTE* When buying a case, don’t be cheap go for the best!!! It will be worth it in the end! :)

Feels sturdy, easy in and o…Read moreut of the pocket, and the clear case allows the great looks of the iPhone to be seen and not hidden as most protective cases do. As other ratings have said, I can see that there will be a need to clean due to lint build up, but so far the ease in and out of the case does not seem that this would be an issue. 100 percent recommend it.

It has survived a few drops and on one occasion the case snapped apart but... THE PHONE WAS FINE and working(did not reboot)!!! and the case snapped back on. To those who are complaining that scratches show up on the case, DUH! THATS WHAT IS FOR! better than the phone.

However, the case does tend to get scratches but it's not noticeable and it still looks good as if there's no scratches. And I'd rather have my case get scratched up rather than my iPhone. The other thing that I noticed after taking my case off to remove the lints is that it did scratch the chrome. But again, I've read most of the reviews on all the other cases and I've realized that most cases do scratch the chrome. So no matter how much you try to not get it scratched, some how it will. If you're a person who drops your phone a lot, I wouldn't recommend this case because I'm pretty sure that if you drop it, the case will crack open.

Needs to be cleaned daily if you put this in your pocket
It's an ok case if you don't mind cleaning it everyday. I'm a bit afraid to drop it, so I don't know if the case or the iphone will survive a drop.
