Time will tell on the first item, but this is Belkin so I have faith. On the charge, I did a test on my drive last night, I ran Google Maps with the GPS tracking my location and played music with the iPhone connected to my stereo to drain as much power as I could. I left work with 90% battery and when I got home, the phone was fully charged and my commute was 45 minutes of playing music and GPS tracking. The cables supplied are excellent, heavy duty and the connector fits right into my Incase Slider case. Other products don't come with cables, but this comes with two, one for the iPhone connector and one for mini-USB. Excellent!

The new unit works perfectly, there is no longer any hum or hiss. I would delete the earlier two star rating if I could. I'm quite pleased with this charger now.
