These speakers have a wonderful full sound with plenty of distortion free bass. Kind of pricey, but to me well worth it. Half the Read moreprice of the Bose Companion 5 speakers. I would definitely recomend these to anybody

I had the Bose Companion II ($99) on my intel iMac and while they are very nice, I prefer a little more bass. These speakers are jRead moreust right. They are bigger than I expected.

I read the other reviews before buying this product. I have to agree that these are fabulous. These speakers are compact, well bRead morealanced (they don't tip over easily) and give a well rounded, full sound. And my husband even commented that they look cool. Small price to pay for quality sound.

    Rich warm sound

The these speakers are far better than what I was expecting. I particularly like that the sound is rich and warm and doesn't have Read morethe harshness typical of speakers nowadays. The sound is clean and distortion free across the entire range. Because the bass is sitting up on the desktop I can crank the sound and not have to worry about the neighbors. But even on the desktop the bass still sounds strong, not wimpy. I'm glad I took a chance on buying these.

    AMAZING!

I got these on sale (good bargain!), but after using them, they are completely worth more than $130!!! They are simply amazing. ThRead moree bass is phenomenal, and the speakers look beautiful. As they get louder, they get better. You just can't go wrong with these! I listen to everything from techno, electronic, acoustic, pop, classical...everything sounds ridiculously good.

    Wow!

Totally impressed by these speakers and had to write a review! We actually got them on sale--well worth the price! It was between Read morethese and the M-Audio Studiophile (because of the great reviews M-Audios got and no reviews of these Altecs). The sound is deep, rich, and you can crank it up. These speakers function great in our livingroom, and in our loft-like apartment the sound carries great and the speakers look pretty slick next to the flatscreen TV! Looking for cable to connect to the TV--anyone have suggestions?
