This sleeve is not properly designed for maximum protection for your mac. I was holding the case with my new mac in it, and as I was putting it on the ground, it slipped out of my hands when it was a mere 6 inches above the ground. When I took my mac out, it had a giant dent on the side of it because it had landed on the zippers of the case, and the zippers severely dented the mac. Instead of protecting the mac, this sleeve actually damaged it so I had to get the entire case of my mac replaced. I would definitely not recommend this sleeve for anyone; I urge you to find a sleeve that's actually designed to protect, and not hurt, your mac.

I've had many incase products over the years and the quality has gone downhill. But, this new case is perfect for the 13" mac! Good quality and excellent protection. I feel better when I put this in my briefcase now! Only downside is that it has a BAD ODOR for a couple of months till it finally airs out! Get it........

Great inside finish, little slippy outside

Fits well inside is soft against the aluminum macbook. computer is protected from the zipper. Outside is a little slippy. I had a good "sticky" one on my Dell and I never worried about dropping but you need to be more careful with this one. I did shop for alternatives and found none better than this.

bought this for my new aluminum macbook. i was initially worried because i read reviews that it was too loose-fitting, but i bought it and it fits perfectly. tight-fitting and cushy. great product.

I bought this at the Apple store about a month and a half ago. It is really nice, doesn't scratch the MacBook, and is lightweight and good looking. I would recommend it to anyone.

So I was going over the reviews and I feel that I need to address some issues others have mentioned. I just got this case as an extra protection for my other case. This is meant more as a sleeve (as stated in the title of the item) rather than a case so of course it does not have room for the charger or other cables, it's not meant to. I got this for added protection in my case that is larger with several pockets and a strap and also so that I could fit it easily into my purse or briefcase. I don't mind having two cases so to speak as it was an expensive laptop and the extra protection is nice. I do have the new aluminum macbook - 13" and I find that the 13" sleeve fits like a glove with no extra room. In fact it's a tight fit and I love it!! :)

This is the perfect travel case. its nice and padded and has a soft inside so you don't scratch the outside. i just bought it and i love it. i really hope this lasts me a long time. if you're looking for a case thats stylish and sleek, this is the case for you!

First I'd like to clear the misconception of this product being as some users say "loose" fitting. It fits like a glove on my 13" silver notebook with its cushy furry lining. I love it! However the only thing I would suggest is that incase should have wrapped the inside face of the zipper due to occasional contact between the computer.

More than my money's worth!

I have found that the zipper, the lining, the handles and the side pockets (not to mention the shoulder strap, which I happen not to use) are of far better quality and provide much greater protection for my new MacBook than I anticipated. The simplicity of the design gives little indication of the actual functionality. I am very glad that (with the assistance of an Apple Genius) I chose to buy this particular sleeve, and I recommend it.
