My Intel imac 20" that meets all the game specs and then some 2.33Ghz ATI Radeon X1600 128MB 3GB RAM plays this game so painfully slow that it's not worth playing. My imac 24" with a video card that has 256MB works fine. caveat emptor.

Overall a great game that can take as long as you want it too. Definitely worth checking out the free demo on the website (Creature Creator) which is enough fun in itself. But worth it for sure!

Interesting idea, too short and anti-climatic

The theory of this game is really interesting, but it is unbelievably short- i beat it in about four hours. It is also really repetitive, almost all of the stages are the same exact thing and they're not really fun. The game is definitely not worth $50, it should probably be around $20 (max) only because of the graphics. If i could go back I would not buy the game again.

After purchasing the Galactic Edition with great anticipation, I was bitterly disappointed to find that after three hours of trying to install the game, I ended up having to use my recovery disks to get my computer back. Even Time Capsule/Time Machine was of no help. I have seen many similar reviews, and I truly thought, "This happens to others, never to me," because I have never had an installation problem with any product in recent years. I have concluded Spore no more.

I love this game has it for 2 days I've played it for about 17 Hours. I love the user friendly Editing interface, Easy to use. Online sharing works wonderfully the smoothest game play I've has on my Imac, macbook and G4 power Pc. I would recommend you get this.

I’m not much for setting in front of my computer playing games of any kind but curiosity got the best of me so I bought Spore and now I’m a Spore junky! I just can’t get enough. It took a little getting use to but before you know it, you’re crawling out of the ocean; you’re evolving into a creature, starting a tribe, becoming civilized and zooming through galaxies in search of new life.

This is the only computer game that i have ever wanted to play.All i can say is that its amazing. You can do what ever you want make what ever you want and be what ever you want. Be a war lord or a pacifist it is your choice. A must buy for 2008

As many people I was waiting for this game. I heard you would be able to create creatures and meake them evolve since the cell state to a civilization. I thought it was difficult to fill those expectations for the game creators, but I have to say that Spore is way over my expectations.
Not only cause they made it possible exactly as they said it would but the graphics run so smoothly on my mac, and the game has a great, sharp, beautiful look on the screen.
It worth totally the money. I must say that the social features of registering are cool too. They store all your creatures, sessions, you can keep track of the evolution of your game always.
