this is one of the best speakers i have bought in the last two years. i love these speakers. but, i do wish there were more controls on the remote.

IPhone glitch

I only used this twice and on the second day I stareted getting a loud popping sound and then it died. Bose told me they don't have any record of this kind of problem, and immediatly after I tried a borrowed phone in it they agreed to send me a new one.

Well worth the price!

My wife and I were looking for something for our bedroom. We bought the Bose SoundDock II at Bestbuy so it was very hard to determine what it sounded like in the store. We choose the Bose based more on reputation then what we could hear in the store.
We took it out of the box plugged it in and all I can say is WOW!
I have bought other speaker systems for my teenage kids for their Ipods and they sounded tinny and lacked bass, In addition if you turned the volume up half way and they became severly distorted.
The Bose SoundDock II sounds awesome! It fills the room with well balanced sound and it is never distorted. I plan on buying another unit for my office.(11 of 12 people found this review useful)

I love this docking station. Not only is the sound great, but it doubles as a charger for our itouch. We even chose to keep this despite our surround sound Denon stereo that is ipod compatible.

This is the best speaker system ever. It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, which is rich, deep, and surround sound. The bass is the best. It is even very pleasing at the highest volume. I can even use it to watch movies on my computer with movie theatre sound. The dock even has a removable universal docking adapter which you can switch to place your dock adapter that came with your iPod. I have the ipod touch so I can watch movies on it and music videos with great sound. Bose makes the best products, and though they are quite pricey, they are worth their weight in gold. You can buy a cable from radio shack that can be 16 feet long. It connects from the ipod to the speaker or the laptop to the speaker for a theatre quality sound. Bose, keep on making great products! O, and I forgot to mention, the system charges your ipod!

I know that Bose is an amazing name, but still for $300 its not worth it. The need to bring the price down to around 150 or at least 200. Then more people would by them. I ended up returning mine and buying a sony one for $100, and the quality is just as good, if not better.

Lower Your Expectations

One of the better sounds in this price range but Bose is not what it used to be. Lower your expectations for this $300+ product and you'll be pleased but do your homework and try it out for yourself, if the short comings are livable for you then spend the $300+
