Incase Power Slider Case for iPhone 3G
Worth the $
Written by TH from Las Vegas

it does make the phone a little bigger but the shape and material protects it and not much bigger than those ugly rubber cases alot of people have...the key here is the battery life....it over doubles the use, you can use it all day and even use it as an ipod without fear of running down the battery, another nice feature is that it uses the case battery first so it will be that much longer till you need to replace your iphone's battery...as for the "Funky coneection" it's called a USB cord and makes it simple to charge anywhere there's a computer...work, a friends house etc...

What's the BUZZ?
Written by RG from Sherburne

I liked this battery a lot---until people told me it was causing a buzzing sound when I made calls. When I disconnected the battery pack, the buzz stopped. This battery is okay for iPod functions, but not suitable for iPhone calls. Very disappointed.

Great Case

"The Case is too big", "makes it bulky" all that i hear, guess what MY Iphone can outlast your iphone. I think the design is great, I can go from 7am in the morning, and use the phone till 9pm and still have the phone battery left. If you are concerned about the case being so big in your pocket, get a universal holster for it. But I highly recommend this case to anyone especially if you use your phone a lot.

Useless
Written by JR from NEW YORK

Pro: It will make your iPhone battery last longer right after a fresh charge.
Con: Looses charge in a couple of days even without use! Funky usb adapter. Did I say it looses it charge in a couple of days even when not attached to your phone? Very thick.
Returned it to store. Will stick with my Incase Slider.(19 of 37 people found this review useful)

you will not be able to sync easily and I had to restore my phone twice.

very disruptive case. The secret to make it work is you have to let it charge for 5 hrs before you use it or sync for the first time and hold your mouth right. It uses a usb adapter instead of the apple adapter so you have to carry other stuff around with you to make it work. DONT BUY IT. YOU WILL TAKE IT BACK LIKE I DID AND MY SON DID.

Great Customer Service - Not a great product
Written by SV from Glendora

I grabbed one of the first ones off the shelf and followed the instructions exactly.
Looked nice, didn't like the uneven fit between parts, but oh well. Noticed right away, battery meter went to 4 lights. hmmm.
Put it in sync mode, and after a long wait, finally sync'd. THEN, none of my USB items (keyboard mouse) worked! Those items are on a powered hub, but the Slider was plugged directly into my Pro.
Contacted Customer Service at inCase - they are very very good!
Took it back for #2. SAME STORY, only THIS TIME...after flakey sync's...iTunes said my phone was unrecognized!!!! OH GREAT. I was lucky, and able to recover from that.
Sat it on the shelf to decide what to do. HMMMM, great...the thing can't hold it's charge for more than a week!!! Now THAT'S a pain...I wanted a backup to keep in my travel bag for emergencies. So, don't expect more than 5 days without virtually complete drainage.
Took it back for #3. SAME PROBLEMS! Sync not consistent. Knocks out my USB chain. And, after a full charge, it dropped one light as I plugged it into my phone.
Bottom line. For what I wanted, this will not do and I'm going to return it for a refund and explore a different solution. I have a nice SwitchEasy case anyway and I hate having to take that thing off just to use the battery pack, but that's not inCase's fault.(26 of 32 people found this review useful)

Construction Issue

Overall the product is great, a little large, but the power extender is great. Minor "glue" issue, which failed, causing the inner workings to be exposed.

Please, PLEASE recall this case!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Written by MO from Lebanon

I'm on my third Power Slider since November, and it just died - the same way as the other two. The first one died on the 14th day. The Apple Store gave me another one. That second one died at about 6 weeks. The Apple Store gave me another one, even though they could have made me return it to Incase because it was outside the 14 days. Now that third one has died at roughly 6 to 7 weeks. I hate the idea of going all the way back to the Apple Store and now what? Guess I need to start sqwauking for a refund. It's not Apple's fault - this thing is a turkey and should be massively recalled.
I use my phone all day, for calls, text messages, audiobooks, videos, movies. Isn't this what the Power Slider is supposed to support - heavy use?
What happens is one morning you find it's dead as a doornail. The iPhone battery is drained, no LEDs light on the Power Slider, it won't take a charge, and it won't pass through to charge the iPhone. Actually, I don't think you can go down past 2 LEDs with assurance this won't be your eventual fate.
I can remove the iPhone and charge it on its own OK, but now I'm worried about what all this has done towards the life of my iPhone battery?
I'm so mad about this I could spit.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS!(51 of 56 people found this review useful)

The case is very nice. The extra battery helps out more then I could of imagined. Only drawback is the case doesn't lock together.
