Poor Quality, Won't last

Despite the latest Leopard driver, none of the All-in-one software features (copying, scan to mac, faxing, etc.) function from the…Read more Mac; this unit only functions as a walk-up device (i.e. you punch buttons at the printer to make it work). The automatic document feeder scans pages crooked so is unusable, you have to scan on the flatbed and orient your document just right. It won't duplex in "side-edge" format, only in top-edge format (i.e. the reverse side is upside down), so useless as a duplexer. After 10 months, this printer packed-up (fatal internal software error). HP supplied a replacement model (on guarantee) and all faults of previous unit still evident in this new unit (scans crooked, won't duplex normally, etc.). Maybe this unit will last more than 10 months, but I doubt it. Very poor quality software in this device which fails to deliver the benefits you buy it for.

this printer in compatbile with leopard, all features work. im running latest software for this and latest software 4 leopard, and…Read more still all going well. ADF is fantastic, good scanner overall. Printing is quick but not as quick as a laserjet.
REMEMBER BECAUSE IT PRINTS ON BOTH SIDES, YOU HAVE TO PLUG THE DUPLEXER IN THE BACK SO THE PRINTER WILL STICK OUT ON UR DESK, so thats why im giving it 4 stars!

I bought this and only found out how to download the Leopard driver software after 5 phone calls to HP. Hopeless service until the…Read more final call. They don't call back (although the promised to).
Finally I got the thing working but when connected to the network (ie not USB) it usually reported an error 'unable to communicate with the printer'. There is no way HP will be able to help me with this. I am taking it back tomorrow. They are so busy bringing out new products they just don't bother to test their software properly. Why?!?!

Although I bought this from the Apple Store in Regent Street, I got back to the office to find out (the hard and long way) that HP…Read more doesn't yet support Leopard - so it doesn't work with my Leopard iMac! Its a complete Rip off. Typical HP and Apple.
