I'm really impressed. First time I've upgraded OS X on my MacBook Pro, and everything went perfectly. My early 1.83MHz MacBook P…Read morero was getting a bit overloaded, so upgraded the harddrive from the 80 to 320GB (less than £60), increased the RAM from 1.5 to 2GB (less than £25) and installed Snow Leopard Box Set. The computer feels like new, runs really well, I'm very happy.

When I finished installing Snow Leopard I gained 18Gb & the speed gained is phenomenal ! ! LU LU LUV IT

While I subsequently understand that I could have upgraded my outmoded OS X Tiger with a simple £25 upgrade - I took the opportuni…Read morety to swallow Mac's advice, up my 2006 Intel based Macbook memory from 512MB to 2 GB, and take the plunge with the all new upgrade Box set. If you are not already a Leopard user you will notice a huge difference in the speed and capability of you machine with this new software. iLife 09 boasts an excellent iPhoto package and iMovie 09 (despite some early criticism) is actually more intuitive than 06 + with sexier clip transitions. iTunes also now opens in seconds and I no longer have to trot off to make a cup of tea while it thinks about it!! Numbers as an addition to iWork at last allows you to open Excel attachments on your Mac and create household budget spreadsheets!! (Yawn - but useful) So if you haven't kept up with Mac's latest releases since 2007 - this box set is awesome! (And straightforward to install too...45mins for Snow Leopard to work her magic and no more than 20 mins for the other two!) Go on - your Mac deserves a make over.
