If your Air Jacket gets dirty, simply remove the iPhone 3G from the case and clean the Jacket with a neutral detergent and water. Let the Air Jacket dry completely before putting the iPhone back in it.

Scratches and pitting

BUT this is sort of offset by the fact that the whole back of my phone is all scratched up and pitted from dust and dirt that gets in behind the air jacket just from being in your pockets. I bought this case to keep it from getting scratched and to protect it from falls.
I gave the case a 3 star rating because it saved me from the drop i described, but failed to protect it from everyday use.(4 of 4 people found this review useful)

This is the thinnest case that I've found for my iPhone 3GS.
The Black and Clear versions are very different products:
The Bla…Read moreck version is 1.0mm thick, while the Clear is 0.7mm. I tried both at the Apple Store and wasn't able to discern a difference in thickness between the two.
The Black has a matte, satin (sort of rubberized) finish. The case feels great it your hand, and provides just enough texture to make it easier to grip and keep oil and fingerprints off your iPhone. The case is smooth and slides into in and out of your pocket nicely. It's not rubbery like a silicone case that collects dust or gets stuck in pockets. I highly recommend it. I know that there are reports of the finish wearing off over time, but I like this case so much that I would probably buy a replacement if that happens to me.
In contrast, the Clear version is a shinny plastic case. It seems like it would show fingerprints, etc. Since the case is clear, you can see through to your iPhone. When I tried it at the store, I could see "lines" where the case didn't exactly fit my iPhone perfectly. This detracted from the aesthetics of the Clear version.
The case also comes with 2 films that protect the iPhone's glass screen. Sold separately, the films cost $14.95. So, the case itself is really $20.(5 of 5 people found this review useful)

i was really excited when i bought this case.. i thought.. wow.. my phone can look like its not in a case.. but is! ha! success.. …Read moreyes.. it does a decent job at protecting the back.. but..
i recently swapped out my phone because of all the hairline fractures caused by this case.. apparently, too much force against the iphone can cause little cracks in your phone.. which was a result from this case thought the apple employee.. Anyway, point is.. this case does a good job at appearing invisible for the clear option, but.. ive dropped my phone once with this on.. and i thought as it was dropping. YES.. CASE IS ON! then BAM! bounce... CASE FALLS OFF.. BOUNCE, iphone hits concrete raw.
sweet... apparently this case only protects from one bounce...
i also found that the case scratches the chrome finisher on the edge of the phone.
i'd save ur money and get a nicer case instead of this one, which is already expensive to begin with.(3 of 5 people found this review useful)

Black Matte peels off / Clear shows lots scratches

I then got the clear air jacket which I am pretty satisfied with but after about a week, it is showing ALOT of scratches on the air jacket (not iphone). The scratched up air jacket diminishes the look of my iPhone a bit but that is OK...I guess it is doing it's job.
Also, I noticed that I am getting some small scratches on the chrome bezel from taking the air jacket on/off and I have only taken the air jacket off a couple of times.
As others mentioned, it doesn't really protect the bezel and in fact scratches it a bit. If dropped, I don't think the case would protect the phone very much...in fact it would probably fall off upon impact.
Overall, it is exactly the size and weight I was looking for. You also get the great Crystal and Anti-glare film sets. I give it a C+ grade.(82 of 99 people found this review useful)

I am 100% satisfied. I have spent a long time looking into many different cases for the 3G. its been a tough choice, especially th…Read moreat many do not come cheap. But like Indiana Jones finding the golden head statue in Raiders, i have found it.
Its extremely light in weight, and its rubber/plasticy material is still quite grippy, but doesn't magnet animal hairs and dust like other cases i have seen. it has not scratched or chipped at all, and protects the back and all corners of the iphone.
All gizmo buttons are easily accessible (mute, volume, on/off) and there is no interference with the earphone jack, so any earphones can be plugged in without twisting and forcing.
I also like the fact the case does its job without completely surrounding the iphone like a 1 piece ski suit for a slope finder in the Alps. It still allows the iphone to show off its smart chrome border.
There is but 1 slight head tilt with this case, in that it does not allow the iphone to sit in a dock very easily, but the case can be easily removed and re applied without damaging it over time. 1 very minor hiccup.
But, the fifth and final star is awarded to the 2 screen protecters included. One is crystal and the other anti-glare. I cant see much difference to tell the truth, but they both do a tip job in covering the entire face if the iphone from corner to corner, and do a top job preventing scratches and what not to the screen.
So all in all, i am impressed and happy i have finally found the right case. Worth the £25 if you are looking to invest some hard earned pennies.

I was looking for an equivalent to the Cozip polycarbonate case I had for my iPod Touch. This comes the closest to that very slim,…Read more minimalist case, with the associated pros and cons. Obviously it doesn't provide much more than scratch and light ding protection for the back plastic; it doesn't protect most of the chrome or any of the face. The top and bottom of the phone are particularly exposed. However, having bought and returned one of the two-piece cases that give better protection, I just couldn't deal with the extra bulk and went back to this case for its extremely low profile. The soft-touch finish gives improved grip and much improved resistance to scratches and fingerprints. The included screen protectors are a nice touch and are very good quality. The matte black cover with the bits of chrome and exposed glossy black of the phone is a great look and, to my eye, more handsome than the stock device. All in all, just what I was looking for.
