NOT WORTH THE PRICE IF YOU DON'T USE ALL THE FEATURES

    Written by BZ from metuchen

This Printer, Scanner, Fax, Copier, Photo Printer, Disc Labeler, -Need I say more?- is the best "All In One" Printer. When you conRead morenect the printer to your Network through the Ethernet Port on the back of the printer, and you install the software on all of your computers, you can use all of the features of the printer. It comes with the Ink and 3 pieces of Photo Paper. IT DOES NOT COME WITH A USB CABLE. When I noticed that it did not come with a USB cable I was like w-t-f new printer doesn't come with a USB cable, especially for a $300 Printer. Setup is not for amateurs, it takes a little knowledge and curiosity/Know-How to use all of the features. NOT WORTH THE PRICE IF YOU DON'T USE ALL THE FEATURES, buy a cheaper "All In One" if you don't plan on using everything it has to offer. It has a feature to save a document to the printer if you plan on printing the same document a lot.

I purchased this to replace the HP 6500 series all in one...

This is the best made HP printer and overall all-in-one printer I have ever seen and owned; and I've had a lot. If you're looking Read morefor an all in one printer that has incredibly high quality pictures, fax, copy and scan and do it all wirelessly via either bluetooth or wifi, then this is your printer! Beautiful finish and high quality materials and fit n finish. No I don't work for HP or any printer company, just passionate about quality! BTW keep in mind with 5 ink cartridges, ink can be quite expensive! Buy the XL cartridges.

So far (a few days) I am happy with the printer and its features. Thought I would pass along a few details I had problems with onRead more install:
    1. If you don't have a wireless router don't try wireless. Bluetooth and setting up an airport connection has issues if not using a wireless router. If you have cable and an ethernet connection you have to unplug your ethernet to get airport to work.
    2. Make sure the printing accessory is clicked in on both sides. If not, it will cause paper jams and removing this accessory is the only way to remove jammed paper (pg 75). Use phone line included. Need filter for DSL lines.
    3. I have been unable to select the photo paper tray as a source of paper.

    Fantastic Wireless All-in-One!

    Written by EB from Glendale

Finally, an all-in-one printer that has real wireless connectivity with all the Macs in our house! I bought this on a whim, the fRead moreirst week it came out, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it does all that it promises. Setup was easy but a little slow (it took a while for software to install and the printer to callibrate). But I was able to connect via bluetooth and / or wi-fi from all of our computers (no USB cable needed, even for setup), and add it to our network for guests. For full wireless functions, I had to install the software on all computers, but scanning and faxing work like a charm.

    It Works Well

    Written by BC from Ipswich

I hadn't even realised this printer was on the Apple site when I bought it, but had I known I might not have given the poor guy inRead more the store such a hard time about what if some of the all-in-one functions didn't work.

I needn't have worried. I got it home, plugged it in, followed the onscreen (on the printer) prompts, checking the quick start guide occasionally to ensure I was getting it right, and after a, prolonged, initial startup where the printer calibrated itself, all of it's functions worked.

The HP software also works and looks like it belongs on OS X, although there is a curious issue with the Network Tool stating I don't have a network device, but regardless the printer works fine across the network, over USB, and apparently even via Bluetooth from my Mac (it was detected in the Bluetooth part of Printer Setup, although I've only tried Bluetooth printing with my Nokia 6600 Slide).

Great printer, and the ink doesn't cost much compared to my old Canon Pixma.

Goods and Bads, but overall, nice!

    Written by BT from Singapore

    What I liked:
Excellent print quality and scan quality, ease of use, multitude of connectivity options (it detected my Time CapsulRead moree network instantaneously and setting up took mere seconds)
Scanning, copying and printing double-sidely and wirelessly was good!

    What I didn't quite like:
Printing double-sidedly took up a lot of time, it's actually only good if you want to print double-sidely *unattendedly* if you were right next to the printer, i have a feeling you'd be better off printing all odd pages then inserting it back to print all even pages. the fact that duplex printing requires a pause for the ink to dry at each page was quite annoying.
if you don't buy the high-volume cartridge the ink runs out pretty fast too.

but overall i'm very satisifed with this printer.
