    Apple In-Ear Headphones

Love Apple, but this product isn't near the quality promised. Sennheiser's version of the iPhone/iPod headset delivers better and more filling sound, as well the remote doesn't work on iPhone :(

Yes they do work with 1st Gen. iPhone

These are great earbuds. They stay in my ears and provide good noise isolation. I'm glad to know that they do work with my 1st generation iPhone. The only feature that does not work is the volume control.

    irreplaceable earbuds...

    Written by AS from Hook

    Mar 27, 2009

Bought these early January of this year and am generally very pleased with them - sound quality is great, and the little remote works really well for when you have hands full and can't necessarily take the iPod out of your pocket/bag to change a track etc. BUT, over the past few weeks, the earbuds have started to fall off while in my bag, and just today, when getting my iPod (and attached headphones) out of my bag whilst walking to lectures, one of them fell off, never to be found again.
Small, medium and large sized earbuds are provided, but only the small size fits in my ears, and now I can't find anywhere that will sell replacement sets. Absolutely gutted, as my only option seems to be to buy a new set of headphones altogether, which at 50 odd quid a pop, doesn't quite seem worth it somehow.

    I am impressed.

I have purchased several earbuds/in ear headphones in the past from other manufactures & I was generally pleased with those purchases. The difference with my new Apple headphones is that they cost half the price of my previous ones. The sound is great, with clear distinction between highs and lows. I am unsure why someone would state that there is no bass. The bass sounds amazing. I am impressed.

Genuine waste of money-No they don't have bass!!!

Incredibly disappointing with absolutely no bass whatsoever. They aren't any better than the headphones that come with the ipod/iphone. If you like those then there isn't really a need to pay the extra money for these. The sound is tinny and very flat. The packaging is top notch, but you aren't buying them for that. I've tried many different headphones for my iphone and the Bang and Olufsen in ear are still the best.

    Won't Stay In My Ears

    Written by SS from Frisco

I bought these three weeks ago. They come with three different sizes of ear buds that are supposed to allow you to find the perfect fit for your ears. But no matter what I try, I cannot get these headphones to stay in my ears.

The problem in my case is that after about a minute or so, the slick, silicone buds slip out of my ear canals and literally fall out of my ears. The problem is exacerbated if I'm exercising, making these all but unusable. $79 down the drain.

And before you think that I must have freakish, Colbertian ears, let me just say that my ears are perfectly normal. You're better off with the regular old hanging ear buds in my opinion.

    iPhone 3G compatibility...

    Written by CB from Swindon

First things first may i just say i love these headphones i don't understand why anyone wouldn't. i have been looking for some headphones that i can use with my iPhone 3G for listening to music and making phone calls. i saw these in my local John Lewis and though these would be the answer however no one in the store could tell me if i would be able to make calls with them as the box clearly gives a list of compatible devices the iPhone not being one of them. and as they didn't have a returns policy i couldn't buy them and see, i had the same problem in HMV and Carephone Warehouse, it took a trip down to my local apple store (which is a nightmare in rush hour) to be told straight away they will work apart from the volume which i can live without. Excellent Job Apple store Bristol thanks to your staff i now have a pair of good quality headphones that i can actually use..

I mean, for 80$ you really get a lot for the money.

The sound quality on my iPhone is excellent. Crisp definition on highs and bass is way better than the originals (not that you can compare..really).

The only thing that does not work on the iPhone is the volume control. The rest is working perfectly.

A definnite good buy for me.

    Also Getting Shocked

    Written by TO from Columbus

I am no audiophile, but I think the sound quality of these is great. I am also no electrical engineer, so I can't speak to why after several weeks they have started to emit terrible static shocks. Happens between 6 and 10 times a day. I thought I was a bit crazy at first, then I did a search and found many-many instances of this happening to others. I can honestly say that I have never had this happen on another set of phones. Can't explain why it happens, just know I am returning to Apple Store very soon.
