Anyone buying the Sims 2 for the first time and is installing it on an Intel Mac needs to know that you MUST install it into the A…Read morePPLICATIONS on the Hard Drive. The game will not work on Intel Macs if it installs anywhere else.
You also need to know that you must join some sim forums with a 'Mac User' section as you will definitely come across numerous glitches in the game that you will need help with, and Tech support is next to useless in many circumstance. There are thousands of addicted Simmers out there and their knowledge and creativity, not to mention friendliness and helpfulness, is astonishing.
Once you become addicted, as I am sure you will, you will want to start to add custom content to the game as the base game is so ugly in comparison with all the gorgeous clothes, furniture, make-up, cars, houses, neighbourhoods etc. etc. out there in the Sims community.
Just google Sims 2 and sign up to one or many of the truly great sim sites on the net and join in the fun.

it may ask you to download Direct X 10 or higher.

NEED 1 GB FREE DISC SPACE

When i put in the sims 2 disc every thing was fine but i had to install it, still fine, but when i tried it told me that I NEEDED …Read more1 GB FREE DISC SPACE i checked and i had enough space, so i tried deleting some files but it still wouldn't work, i tried again with another sims 2 disc and the same thing happened again. Both these disc where borrowed from friends and they both worked on my friends computers. ( I have leopard if that is useful information for mac staff people).

Being an old windows user, I used to play the sims all the time. I absolutely loved it- the graphics, the new items, everything. O…Read moren an Apple computer, everything is better. Especially the speed. Here are a few tips for the people who wish to buy this amazing game:
-If you have epilepsy or have not had much sleep, you shouldn't play the game.
-Take care of your sims and make sure they always do their homework.
