Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse
The mouse all mighty!
Written by WB from Jacksonville

Well, I am I would say really into all sorts of technology and trying everything that comes out. Before all, I am a MAC fan. I have to say that this mouth is a bit expensive but what can you say? Apple has never made cheap product! Everything is thought and designed to excellence. I have had this mouth for about two months and I have to say that most of all I have been happy with the precision and the overall way it works. I did not give 5 stars because of a couple of reasons. First of all, the price which I think is not that cheap for a mouse, the second thing is the right click which in order to work to perfection, you will have to lift the finger that is on the left button or it will not understand that you are trying to right click with both fingers on the mouse. And finally, the feel of clicking and sound by itself. I have to say that you can either like it or not. Whenever clicked, it sounds heavy and feels that way too! It is not a light feel click like some microsoft or logitech. You can feel that the whole shell is going under as you push on it. Overall, it is the best mouse I have ever own. I never had any problems with it and when you get used to it, you will learn to love it and wonder what you would have done without it. What I wrote above wasn't a critic, by the way, it was just a personal opinion that I felt like sharing to help whoever is interested in buying the mouth so they will fully understand what it's like to use the white mouse. You can of course go to any apple retailer and try it out as it is their mouse of choice of course!

More track-ball issues!
Written by DC from BATH

Great mouse when it works, but like a lot of other people here, the track-ball is the let down. Be warned the 'paper-cleaning' method will work for a while then stop, the 'alcohol cleaning' will work for a while then stop. Then guess what? A useless mouse that's just out of warranty because you wasted time doing it yourself.
Take it back at the first sign of trouble, or buy something different. This is the first Apple product that I won't be buying again; and I'm an Apple apologist!
I use mine daily on a clean surface and a clean area; it still clogged up quickly.(2 of 3 people found this review useful)

I think that,I had already 6 of them, that mouse is simply bad made,I prefer the one with a cord then the wireless, the wirel mouse,if you are using it as a professional, battery is down after 2-3 days....the scroll button is always getting dirty...NOT worth the price!

scroll ball does not last very long
Written by DB from Red Oak

I love Mac's products but this one could use an upgrade. The scroll ball quit working after 1yr. and for $70.00 I'm not real thrilled about purchasing one every year!

It is what it is and very good at that

People say strange stuff about this but it is excellent. I have used one for over a year with my Macbook Pro. Batteries last a long time, even rechargeable ones. Once you get used to how to hit the buttons that are really not visible, it is no problem to use. The only problem I have ever had, once used to it, was the roller ball getting clogged. That depends on your hand grit. Their recommendation of rolling it with a damp cloth works just fine 95% of the time. Sometimes it needs a second cleaning. It works fine for my left or right hand and is a very reasonable size. What more could you want. Oh yes, to be untethered from the keyboard, which it does quite well. There is no unusual defect here and a lot of assets so it has to be 5 stars.

Once You Get Used To It...
Written by GK from Windsor Locks

It took a while to get used to because of the totally different feel from the prototype Microsoft mouse. It's a little unconventional but what bothered me most was that it stopped scrolling after a while. I was just about to play Taps for mine when I read a review on this site by GC, which said to turn it upside down and scroll. That actually works! So this review is a thanks for GC for getting us the right information.

Why the bad reviews?
Written by AC from Bar Hill

I was unsure when purchasing the Mighty Mouse due to the bad reviews on this website. However, I decided to take the plunge after being new to the mac scene and purchasing the latest macbook. I have not regretted my decision - it looks great, works brilliantly and I haven't had any problems with this yet.
People who complain about the clogging scroll wheel, get a damp cloth and gently wipe the ball and all problems are solved!
Further to this I have also read people who are struggling to use the right-mouse click, this works best when you use it properly; take the front of your fingers off the "click" section of the left side of the mouse and it works like a dream, no problems here!
It is a tad expensive but then being Apple, everything is.
Works very well with the wireless keyboard too - oh and looks great!(2 of 3 people found this review useful)
