Outlasted my laptop

I have had this adapter for 6 years, use it at least monthly or more frequently, and it has been flawless. Never had to wiggle it…Read more... Couple of times I had to unplug and replug to get laptop to recognize the projector or system it was connected to, but other than that, nothing. I guess if I had broken it, it would not have worked so well.

The Apple description of the product in their "Overview" section does not mention that this works with MacBook Pros too. This may …Read morebe because this adaptor is bundled with the MacBook Pros. But for someone needing to buy a new one, the compatibility with MacBook Pro should be explicitly mentioned as it is mentioned for other models.
I have used it for months now on my MacBook Pro and works very fine.
Also there is a review "Great for Intel iMac and Sony 15" VGA" by LR dated January 23, 2007. I understand that iMac Intels come with Mini-DVI ports only and hence this makes this adaptor incompatible with Intel iMacs.

I had to buy another adapter for this (male/male). Apple should offer a choice of male or female VGA.
