Overview
The Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad features an elegant, ultrathin anodized aluminum enclosure with low-profile keys that provide a crisp, responsive feel. It also has function keys for one-touch access to a variety of Mac features such as screen brightness, volume, eject, play/pause, fast-forward and rewind, Exposé, and Dashboard. Its extended layout includes document navigation controls — page up, page down, home, and end — and full-size arrow keys for playing games and scrolling through documents. Its numeric keypad is perfect for spreadsheets and finance applications. And two USB 2.0 ports enable you to connect your Mighty Mouse as well as a high-speed peripheral such as a digital camera or printer.

In the beginning I was a fan of this keyboard. Slim, stylish and it doesn't take up much room.
However style soon gave way to fu…Read morenction and this is where this keyboard starts to show a darker side.
The metal frame especially around the lower section is very sharp. Prolonged use of this keyboard will cause a nasty RSI problem. I tried to fix it the ole fashion way, with a grinder, smoothed the edge off, but alas the damage to my overworked fingers is too great and I had to switch to a logitech.
Form over function, not a good compromise, it's like a good looking girlfriend who is lazy, the good looks soon wear off.

I received delivery of my keyboard this morning, as usual with Apple just when they said it would arrive, once I had torn open the…Read more packaging in a manner that no PC user would ever open a Microsoft keyboard package I was presented with what is without doubt the most beautiful keyboard I have ever owned. The seamless style and sophistication of the keyboard is a head turner for any visitors and even now several hours later I am still enthralled by it's simplicity of design. I don't want to sound like a mac obsessive but I am and I do love this product. For the skeptics among you I ill say that the keyboard took some getting used to although it is very similar to the keyboard featured on the past few generation of MacBook, except for the addition of the full range of keys one expects from a desktop keyboard. Once you get used to it though it is a dream to use. I shan't be buying another keyboard for a very long time.

Hooked up the new keyboard today and its is a real site to behold. Very thin and lite weight. The new key design has a great fee…Read morel and very large keys so you don't make many mistakes.
THE ONE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH IT IS the two usb ports will not support an ipod. I have the video Ipod and I get a warning that the USB power is too low to power the attached device. I bought this key board to clear away clutter on my desk and hopefully eliminate a few cords. Unfortunately its not true and I was disappointed. This little baby uses Function keys for audio up and down and brightness, and Vista really didn't like it. Sadly, I'm going to have to keep using my old keyboard until they update BootCamp to work with this new keyboard. That's why I'm only giving three stars. Otherwise, it'd be a full FIVE, baby!
