The macbook compartment is padded for protection and is lined with a very soft almost fur material for excellent overall protection. The size is perfect too. I am able to fit my Ipod touch, its car charger, obviously my macbook and its AC adapter and there is still a small pocket left on the back. It is large enough to carry your electronic essentials but is not too big or bulky. I just bought this today, and from what I can tell it is very well built and should last a long time. I highly recommend this bag to anyone that is looking for a bag for their macbook.

I have found that the zipper, the lining, the handles and the side pockets (not to mention the shoulder strap, which I happen not …Read moreto use) are of far better quality and provide much greater protection for my new aluminum MacBook than I anticipated. The simplicity of the design gives little indication in the store of the excellent actual functionality. I am very glad that (with the assistance of an Apple Genius) I chose to buy this particular sleeve, and I recommend it.

The regular sleeves that fit in the bag are fine to protect scratches, but don't seem to have much protection for drops. I've used…Read more a Sportfolio which has the same problem, but has two useless pockets (you can't fit anything inside besides the laptop -- maybe a cord or something). This sleeve has room for the power adaptor, cds, maybe an iPod if you want to put it in there. The strap is also the most comfortable I've used; after sticking my laptop in there it still felt really light. I wish I had purchased this sleeve before any other one.

The front pockets hold my wireless mighty mouse, remote control, power adapter with the extension and still has a little room for something small like a mp3 player or digital camera. The carry strap is well padded and very comfortable to carry. My only complaint is there is not alot of room for extra stuff like books but that might be a plus for some people.

After a LOT of shopping around and reading reviews i decided that this bag would be the right one for my 13" white macbook.
i w…Read moreanted something that did not look like every other leather exceutive bag, and was much smaller, and would protect my macbok. this IS the perfect bag for that! i looks slick and urban, it does not scream that your carrying a $1300 computer with you and the strap is very comfortable. the bag is wonderfully well made with much attention to details. the stitching is excellent, and the compartment for the macbook is not only furry and soft on the computer, but it has a good amount of padding to protect from bumps and drops.
i like to use the small compartment that is just below the handle to hold my ipod, (i dont think it's intended to be a pocket, but works perfect for my 80gb.
i love this bag, it was more than i wanted to pay, but i have no regrets. i would HIGHLY recommended this bag to anyone who likes to travel LIGHT, and small, and wants to protect thier macbook.
