Nike Sport Armband for iPod nano
Band is too small
Written by CW from Livonia
Apr 22, 2009
I was excited when I was given one of these as a gift.
Then I tried to use it. It is very difficult to get my Nano in and out of this, there's no hole at the top to allow you access to the lock switch, and it seems to be developed for people that are stick thin.
I'm not a body builder or anything, and this thing barely fits around my bicep. If I flex at all, it becomes way too tight and feels like it is going to cut me. I can wear it around my forearm, but that just feels odd to me so I gave up on using this.
I highly recommend that you look at other armbands and not purchase this one.(0 of 1 people found this review useful)

This thing is excellent

I do not know why there are negative reviews of this piece of kit.
Yes it is tight on the ipod and you have to put it in carefully, but that holds it nice and tight (how anyone managed to scratch the screen (or screen cover) is beyond me.
As for it not being too small to go round people arms - well I can get it on my bicep (with a little bit of strap to spare but not much) and I have pretty big biceps (I used to do a lot of weight training and I do a job that involves lots of heavy lifting).
Anyway, I wear it on my forearm where it is easy to control.
Completely comfy - not itchy at all.
Ipod easy to control through the cover.
Could not be more happy with it.
Unless you have arms like a pipe cleaner, or are a bodybuilder on steroids with massive biceps then buy this thing. It is the best armband I've ever had.(2 of 2 people found this review useful)

Irritating

I didn't even get out running before I took it off. It is tight and causes my arm to sweat under it while just stretching. It's extremely uncomfortable.

Have to wear it on your forearm

I think the quality of the product is good. If you sweat alot this arm band lets moisture inside of it. It does not appear to be designed to fit on a mans bicept, so I wear it on my forearm. I sometimes have issues with the fly wheel working and the plastic cover now has a crease in it from me trying to get the ipod out of it. It sticks like glue most of the time. Definitely not perfect but usable.

Won't fit average size arm

I found this product to be a complete disappointment. Nike should have made the band bigger or stretch better. I couldn't even come close to putting it on, and by no means do i have huge biceps. Would give no stars or negative if possible

One size does not fit all.

Like many others, I will add my review that having a fixed-size strap without any stretch isn't good design.
If the velcro/strap portion was larger it might be okay that it doesn't stretch.
Unfortunately as it is sold, this product is useless for an average man or bulky clothing. I don't recommend this product unless you have slender arms, or are a woman.
However, the masculine product styling doesn't appear to be targeted towards women, so I give this product a "fail" for it's narrow usefulness.(8 of 9 people found this review useful)

It seems EVERYONE on here has GIANT biceps...lay off the juice and the band will fit just fine. Breathes well, stays in place, and keeps the iPod protected.

Pre workout

When I received my Nike armband, I was so happy. But to get the ipod in the slot was a workout in itself. Then when I tried to remove the ipod, it wouldn't come out. I thought I would have to cut the band.
I don't think I can recommend this product. I'm hoping it will stretch out some.(10 of 11 people found this review useful)

Nike Sport Armband for iPod nano
terrible product

I was so excited to get this product, but the slot is too tight - too hard to get my Nano out. I had visions of being able to take the Nano in and out. Feel like I am going to have to cut it to get my product out of the Sportband. Was hard enough to get it in w/out bending the plastic "window" - permanently bent after the first use. Disappointing. I also find it annoying that the plastic doesn't match up with my Nano controls - they are slightly askew. Nike should have done a much better job with this product. I'm with the other reviewers - would give 0 or negative, if possible.

Nike Sport Armband for iPod nano
good enough for me

I've read some of the negative reviews and I just need to fight back in favor of this little wonder. Unless your BMI is off the charts I can't imagine this armband being too small - but concede it falls a little short when worn over a sweatshirt. It's easy to operate the iPod Nano through the plastic cover and the strapping flexes more than enough for most aerobic and strength training. There are an ample number of holes to facilitate breathing and the D ring can be adjusted on the fly. I found this unit to be well worth the price.
