Overview
The Apple Micro-DVI to DVI adapter was designed specifically to fit the slim profile of MacBook Air. Connect the adapter to the Micro-DVI port of your MacBook Air and the DVI end of the adapter to an external DVI monitor or projector. You can use this cable in both video mirroring and extended desktop modes.

If y…Read moreou don't want to start drilling into this adapter as one customer suggested then you may need a DVI-D Male to DVI-I Female Adapter to use this with non Apple Monitors.

This is ONLY for MICRO-DVI sockets on MB-AIR! Not the Mini-DVI ones on most other Mac products...

This product fits DVI-D connectors, but not the DVI-I or DVI-A connectors. This will always work with Apple products, sure, but my…Read more Wacom Cintiq 21UX has a DVI-I output so I'm currently looking at buying an extension cable and pulling some pins out. If you are unsure if your monitor will be supported, please check the DVI Wikipedia page and look at your pins to make sure.
