I got this for in my car. It could be worse but it could be better. There's nothing wrong with the sound quality, but the retracRead moretable cord feature doesn't work very well.

I have a AUX plug in my car and it works great. I haven't had any troubles with it. And the sound comes out clear. And no tanglRead moreing of the cord either. Great Buy for the price.

    it lasted me a month

I used this smart looking design for a month until it started to lose its connection, probably from the wrapping of the cable so oRead moreften. It just needs better materials used in order to withstand its' task of reeling..so if you use it occasionally, or temporarily, it's not that bad; however, if you're going to use this daily, seek elsewhere.

A must have for the car!!!!!

I recently purchased a '06 GM vehicle. The latest GM cars have a mini jack which fits the iPod wonderfully. Makes the long commuteRead mores bearable. By far out-performs those radio transmitters. A direct connection to the cd/aux jack is flat out the way to go. PERIOD!!!!! Buy it now.

    Works Great

As luck would have it I bought a car stereo w/ an AUX in-put jack WAAAYYY before I thought I would ever own an iPod. This audio caRead moreble was pretty much the only thing I needed to listen to it in my car. I had heard some of the FM transmitters didnt have the best sound quality (and pretty pricey). I saw the Apple audio cable had a short life span and picked this instead. It's cheaper than the Apple one but 20 bucks is still a bit much. The retracting cord is great because it stays out of my way when Im not using my iPod, and it doesnt get all wadded up in my purse. I havent used it with my DVD player yet for audio in my car, but in theory it seems like it would work. The audio sounds the same as if it was a CD. Just remember to turn the Sound Check ON in your iPod.......so you dont have a volume heart attack. It helps keep the volume on the songs slighty more regulated.

    Overall a good value ...

    Written by BK from Hatfield

After purchasing a new vehicle and learning of the aux. input, I purchased the Belkin cable to directly connect my iPod.

I've hRead moread this about a week, and when the connection is clicking, the sound quality is most impressive. A few times however, (usually when plugging/un-plugging the cable from the outlet) I have had to "fiddle" w/ the cable to get the sound to optimum quality, but overall the performance is in-line w/ the price paid on this one...
