    Great Choice for In-Ear headphones

I have used Bose Triports and Quiet Comforts for two years now and decided to switch to in-ear. Great choice. I have a huge diveRead morersity in my itunes library and these headphones keep up with all of the genres. It is AMAZING with alternative music (ex. Death Cab for Cutie, Yael Naim, Passion Pit, etc.)

    not worth the money

I had the Klipsch X5 headphones and returned them for the Shure SE310 because of the option to add a microphone. I am extremely dRead moreisappointed with the decision. In my opinion the X5's are a far superior sound. The Shure's do deliver crispy and clean sound, but way to crisp. The mids and highs are too twangy and the bass is non existent. I have a headache after listening for less than 20 minutes. For the money, get the X5's. The x5's have warm mids, clean highs, and the bass has some depth (for earbuds). I use earbuds all day at work and have had a variety of Shure's over the last 4 years. I'm switching back to the Klipsch.

This is my second pair of Shure earphones/pods. It's like there's a great sound system in your head. You hear everything, every Read morelittle nuance. And the SE310 are even better than the 200s I was using previously. When I want to get the best out of my Touch, they are well worth the time and the price.

Lots of effort, lots of reward

As you should expect from canal phones from Shure, they're amazing. If you've had in-ear before, then you know the quality is worRead moreth it, and you just need to pick a price-range. If you haven't, there's a few things you should know.

First, getting these things to fit right takes time and technique. At first they might hurt, and the bass response will be terrible. Use the silicon buds, and spend a few days with each size that feels reasonable. You want them to lock in with some suction.

Second, because of the fussy fit, canal-phones aren't the most user friendly. Working out causes problems with them slipping out, due to sweat and movement. General swelling can cause them to hurt. too.

However, all these problems go away when you get acclimated to them. They get rock solid, feel like they aren't even there, and sound wonderful. If you listen to music on headphones a lot, and want to hear just the music, then in-ear phones are the way to go.

    Absolutely the Best

I bought a pair of Shure SE110s the other day to replace my broken Shure E2Cs and I was appalled by the mediocre sound quality. ThRead moreey were nothing but bass and mid-range treble– I returned them one hour later. Today, I picked up a pair of the SE310s and I am amazed that such great sound comes in such a small package. The sound quality is on-par, if not better, than my Bose QC2s. Every little detail that's normally lost with headphones is heard and it's as if I'm using my surround sound speakers. A word to the wise, however, you will definitely hear artifacts if you listen to low-bitrate/quality music!

These headphones are amazing. I have to admit that it took me a while to get used to an in-ear style headphone, after using over Read moreear studio headphones for so long. It also took me a while to figure out which plugs were best for my ear. After djing for 13 years, I gotta say that I have been super impressed by their overall sound and bass response. If you can spend the money, get these...amazing headphones..very clear and responsive sound
