I got this printer for free with a rebate offered when buying a new Mac. I wanted to pay and upgrade for a Canon that was being of…Read morefered at the same time but it had a 3 week waiting period and I needed the Macbook ASAP so I took the HP.
It's been a big disappointment. Like others here I have found that this printer is very prone to "paper jammed" or "out of paper" errors when often neither is the case. The printer is simply unable to grab the paper and you have to move it around it little before it takes a sheet and then it often grabs two. If that weren't bad enough it does jam up for real much more often than my previous 8 year old epson ever did. Pay and upgrade to a better one, you won't regret it.(2 of 2 people found this review useful)

I recently purchased this printer, and by the time I purchased the USB cable (not included) etc., it would have been much more eff…Read moreicient for me (having a macbook) to have bought the wireless version of this same printer; not to mention, converting the C4480 to wireless capabilities would cost much more than the small difference in price. Wish I had thought about this before!

I had one problem with it though, the …Read morelittle LCD screen would flicker, and when I would put my SD memory card in the slot, the pictures looked negative on the LCD screen. I contacted HP and they could not help with the problem, so I returned it to the Apple Store, where I got the same printer again. Now, the new one is Great! I have no problems with it. The LCD is fine. The picture quality is not the best, but it is decent for the price. I could not expect more, and so therefore it was a great buy. I am very happy with it.

Overall I like how it is somewhat small and fits on my desk next to my brand new macbook pro. Its print quality is great especially for its price and it is greaat for me because i can scan copy and print and for a 14 teen yer old thats all i will ever do.
