I must hear static 85% of the time and the sound quality is very poor. I highly recommend you NOT purchase this item. What a wasteRead more of money is right! I hope the company I purchased it from will accept the return.

Don't waste your money. Not enough power. You will only hear static.

    It works but not great

The clear channel function does not work at all. I noticed that the instructions in the main instruction manual and the quick starRead moret guide were different for selecting channels manually - the quick start guide says to choose a channel that is between stations that has a lot of background static on it - when I do this the tunecast works well with little interference as I drive around ( I live in Toronto - where almost all channels are taken) although the sound level is not as high as i'd like it to beeven in pro or mono modes - surprisingly when I start with a channel with low background static as the main manual recommends it does not work well and I find that the channel has to be constantly changed. I do not agree that the tape converters work better because the ones I've had lose the far end of either stereo channel and as a result some songs lose quite a bit of their sound quality especially on tracks where a voice or instrument is only in the left or right channel.

    Don't fix what ain't broken...

I don't know what Belkin did....but the reception on this is lacking. I had to get a new car charger/adapter for my 4th gen nano bRead moreecause my previous Belkin no longer charged the nano. Unfortunately, the new model doesn't have the power or boost (or whatever) to cancel out static or weak radio signals, whereas the older one did beautifully - nice clear sound even when you got a weak broadcast.

    Junk.

I paid almost $100 (w/tax) only to get a piece of junk! Reception is terrible and the whole thing is too heavy & cumbersome. TheRead more cable and plug are bulky and awkward – a lightweight design similar to that of the OE Apple headset, which comes with the iPhone, would be much better. …but then again, so would a clear, static-free signal. Do not buy!
