Good: the size - Very Bad: USB ports are useless!

I really like the size of the small keyboard it leaves so much more room on my desk and I can keep the mouse much closer to the hand.
The Ugly: The USB ports are useless! About 90% off all devices I try to connect get the "USB LOW POWER NOTICE"
So I can't even connect my iPhone or a SD Card reader!
I had to go out a by an extra USB Hub to connect directly to the MAC.. this was just what I hoped to avoid in the first place. Only two stars for me on this product - not very well thought through in my opinion.(1 of 1 people found this review useful)

keyboard fix
Written by BD from Christchurch

My alloy BT keyboard worked fine, apart from losing BT connection from time to time, No starting up with keyboard commands and needing batteries, so bought the alloy USB one which had wrong commands on function keys. Cured it by resetting F1 - F4 in System prefs/Keyboard&Mouse/keyboard shortcuts. F7 - F12 sound keys were fixed by using Synergy. System prefs/Synergy/Hot Keys. Great design and feel, ergonomically great (no keypad on right means much easier mousing). Will never go back to the old clunky and wide keyboards.

Apple Keyboard

This keyboard came with my new Mac. It's cute, nifty and fun to play with but for serious typing I go back to my Adesso ergonomic. I need a number pad for all the "crunching" I do for our small business and this doesn't have one. As a touch typist I find that the tiny keyboard really slows me down, I have to keep looking at it to see if my fingers are in the right position. I predict that in a few months I will get bored of this one and put it away.

Keyboard without a numpad
Written by JD from Houston

I have to say, I love Apple, I'm a Mac freak, but I stil can't understand why would anyone design a piece of junk keyboard without a numpad. If we talk about the wireless keyboards, i still dislike that they don't have keypad but i can understand why... But a freaking cord keyboard without keypad makes no sense to me, it's so unconfortable to work with a keypad or a keyboard of that size for that matter

Great keyboard for small spaces
Written by PL from Lakewood

This is an excellent keyboard if you have limited working space. Although the numbers don't have quite the touch quality of the standard keyboard or the MacBook keypads, and the keys feels a little close together, I got used to it quickly. Having the USB ports on each side reduces the wiring tangle and frees up a USB port. Overall, it's quite good for everyday use. I also got a full-size keyboard to use for sustained document or numbers work.

Keyboard and Mouse
Written by SA from Riverside

Just bought my first IMAC with the 24" Screen. Two things I dislike. The Keyboard is cheesy. Has no action to it and no keypad on the right. The other disappointment is the mouse. Not so much the mouse, but the length of the cord. Way too short. With such a large screen I would like to sit farther back but since the mouse cord is so short I have to practically kiss the monitor to use the mouse. I know there are other accessories I can buy. I'm just saying that we need to put a little more thought into what is provided initially.

keyboard without 10 key- dislike!

I will replace the standard keyboard with a keyboard that includes 10 key. I think the standard keyboard is only preferred by people that only use laptop computers.

Needs getting used to but good

Got it today, feels really nice. Much better than the old stile with the large keys.
Wonderful to type on, but its just slightly smaller feel than my MBP which takes a bit of getting used to.
Great build quality, compact. Perfect for a cramped workspace. Another great product from Apple!(14 of 16 people found this review useful)

Apple Keyboard
great for the busy desk
Written by IL from manchester

I've found the wired and wireless version of this keyboard to be very good indeed. The keys are responsive, and I certainly haven't experienced any of the numb fingers one reviewer mentions. The real joy for me is the small footprint, which is a real blessing on a busy desk which is scattered with books and journals. The only quibble I would have with the product is the price... but hey, it's a mac thing.
