Once the battery runs o…Read moreut, well your screwed and if you don't have anywhere to charge it you're screwed as well. The bass is a tad muddy, mids are laid back and treble isn't the best. Detail isn't the best. For the price you are paying for in the UK, I would not recommend these. I would always go for my Sennheiser IE8's. They sound like on ears and they are much more detailed. Also, personally I don't like the plastic Bose use on their headphones.

The noise cancelling on headphones of this design is nowt short of magic. I know in ear may provide NC but i dont like that style. All the accessories are top class especially the case.

Top notch sound quality, I can listen in peace to music with WW2 blasting out of the PS3 next to me! The noise canceling is excellent. No need to crank up the volume any more! You really do get lost in the music, it's like being in a world of your own. They are a nice size, I didn't feel odd walking round Tesco listening to my iPod with them. I can't get on with in ear phones at all, these are a joy! I'm looking forward to many more happy hours of listening to the QCs. Quality Counts!

However..... I recently bought these in NY (Sept 2007) for $350, that's £160!!! How Apple can justify selling them for £274 in the UK is for want of a better word.... scandalous!
5 stars+ for quality but 3 overall due to the extortionate UK price. I sincerely hope Apple don't pull this review.

Pucca sound on this bad boy! I was all set to buy the Quiet Comfort 2, until these came on the market. Really comfortable to wear…Read more with the new slim design, totally brilliant when your travelling. Put these babies on while your on a plane and you don't hear a thing around you, it's all about your music & film. The noise reduction element on these is priceless. You will never need to buy another pair of head phones once you shell out for these. Steep price but quality speaks for itself.

Both sounded equally good.
I purchased the QC2's because they we…Read morere more comfortable for me.
Less prone to slip off while sleeping in them.
I would have liked a rechargable battery facility, but there you are.
THEY ARE FANTASTIC. Well worth the high price.
Would not fly without them EVER.
Comfortable & great sound on my ipod or my Mac on skype.
