    Poor build quality

It's a shame these reviews weren't written in time for when I bought this thing. Its been a little over 2 months using them prettyRead more carefully, and like everyone else, I'm having problems with the build quality especially at the plug end causing crackling and drop out of the sound whenever I move, not practical. Hopefully they'll last a little while longer before maybe getting the shure's or headphones with built in mic.

After a month of use, the cable at the headphone end has broken wires inside. Had so much hope for this great looking product but Read morethe design of the plug is poor compared to the one on my Shures.

    DO NOT BUY THIS!

Looks like I had exactly the same problem as everyone else, the cable fell apart at the headphone socket despite being well lookedRead more after.

At first it went to just one headphone then it went to no headphones. Was great until it didn't work. Took a couple of months to totally pack in. will have a look at the shure one.

    Cheap and effective!

Am I the only person with ears the standard iPhone buds don't fit? Apparently not, reading other reviews. My late lamented SonyEriRead morecsson was traded in for iPhone 3G, and I don't regret it a bit... EXCEPT it had Sennheiser headphones with three sizes of those dinky silicone rubber mushroom grommets. One size invariably fits comfortably in the ear canal, AND the earphones separate above the mic on the lead.
SO, I naturally wanted to keep them... I can live without them being designer white :) and that is where this little accessory comes in. Connects new iPhone to old Sennheisers.... noise cancelling mic works on the bus, remote control is good, AND only fifteen quid. Bargain.

Great idea, ruined by poor quality

    Written by JH from Redhill

This is a really useful accessory - allowing you to use your choice of headphones, with the convenience of a microphone and controRead morel button. However, it's lasted about 4 weeks before the cable has separated from the plug and wires are visible. There is no proper strain relief on the plug, which is inexcusable for a product that is designed to be used on the go. I won't be replacing mine with another griffin one - maybe the extra money for the shure equivalent will prove to be worth it.
    Avoid.
