Got this with a touch but didnt get on with it.
Swapped for 120gb classic and am now in heaven.
Got a pair of bose speakers about 20 years ago, still great sound so knew this was gonna be quality.
Sound is great, set eq to ROCK for best sound but really doesnt matter, small footprint big sound. Who needs floor shaker speakers, a pair going cheap on ebay. Was this useful?

Bose SoundDock II

Okay, I confess I am a Bose fan, so this review is, right from the start, totally biased. There are good reasons for being a Bose fan: they produce systems which are both delightful to the ears and the eyes. The SoundDock II is a perfect companion for the ipod/iphone, producing a rich warm tone with a good base and solid treble. The speakers are expensive at £220 but the quality will be appreciated for a long time to come.

Fit for purpose
Written by TB from LONDON

I always believe in sound systems you pay for what you get. Yes it is expensive but for a single module the range of sound and the quality is stunning. I have had mine over a year now and charge my i-pod touch through it so I don't understand the previous reviewers difficulty. I love digital radio and play my radio through the speaker too.
In essence if you want a simple high quality sound in a small home office (or bedroom) as I do and with the added bonus of being able to take it into the garden or on a picnic or by the pool this is for you. Fit for the purpose it was designed for.(16 of 17 people found this review useful)

A Good Solid Performer!

The sound from this dock is relatively good considering it's size. The design is fantastic and the remote is nice, the sound is good overall, although, don't expect a lot off bass. My only problem with the sound is that it doesn't really hit the low notes at all, but it is small, so you can't be picky. My other problem is the price, I think it is a little much considring how other companies have something that sounds as good at a lower price, but the Bose is nice and easy to set up though, so I can't really complain there either.
If you are looking for a bedroom type iPod dock that will impress your mates with a very loud sound, this is the one for you!(7 of 9 people found this review useful)

Expensive, but worth every penny

I had just brought my first ipod with this, and i can safely say that this is the loudest and best quality sound device i have in the house...
It was quick and easy to use, just plug in your ipod and off u go. The sound is of the highest quality even at the loudest volumes. On the subject of volume, this music system will blow u away at 70% volume, never mind full volume.
It is expensive, but without a doudt worth every penny.
A well deserved 5 stars, could not find anything wrong with the product, or the remote control it comes with.(13 of 13 people found this review useful)

You get what you pay for. Brilliant!

If you're unsure about forking out over £200 for this unit, do what I did. Go along to John Lewis, or another store that has it on display, with your iPod in your pocket, dock your iPod into the display unit and have a play with it. Simple! You will not be disappointed. The sound quality is the best I've ever heard from a portable unit of this size. I am discovering sounds from tracks which were produced decades ago which I have never noticed before. I would like to be able to turn up the volume a bit further than I do, but as I live in a terraced house with cardboard walls, I have to consider the neighbours. For my enjoyment though, this is the DB. I was considering the Zeppelin, but the Bose is better on so many levels.
Still having a bit of trouble mastering the use of the remote control track-finder facility. Maybe it's just my age!(33 of 34 people found this review useful)

Excellent Product

Portable and it really has a fantastic sound even at the highest volumes. Love the integral battery.
The remote is a little difficult to use in navigating through your songs easily.
'Annoying' - I think your problem is with the 3G and not the BOSE. Sounds like you are getting phone interference as we had the same problem on another speaker system we tried (we have a Touch for our system at home). Try putting your phone into 'Airplane Mode' while you are playing music and see if it helps!
