Shure Music Phone Adapter for iPhone
died quickly

I bought these because I have the Shure E2c earbuds and love them. I still do. the mic however broke way too quickly for a $40 ex…Read moretension. they lasted (with regular but careful use) less than 4 months. I was told that I sounded great when they worked then suddenly one afternoon the sound quality went in the gutter. the connection was static filled and I had to rotate the jack to get rid of the noise, now nothing. its a $40 wire that sits on my desk. I am back to using the factory earphones, which by the way are frayed and has exposed wiring thanks to my cat, and they still work and no one has any complaint about the sound.
its sad when the included apple ear buds last longer and sound better than my $200 Shures.(5 of 5 people found this review useful)

1. Headset adapter for iPhone's non-standard plug
2. Audio extension cord
3. Simple remote control,
and most importantly....
4. Turns any headset into a phone headset.
It works flawlessly, button works to play/pause/skip and to answer and end calls.
Sound is excellent (limited only by your choice of headphones)
Cons:
$40 is a bit much for something so simple.
The cord gets excessively long unless your headset cord is very short already. (I'm using the Sumajin Smartwrap to keep everything manageable.)(372 of 532 people found this review useful)
