You can't beat the features of this pad for the price..

I am a designer and had used a the Wacom Intuos 2 and 3 in previous jobs and offices. I'm on a budget and was not sure if the Bamb…Read moreoo would deliver after using the higher-end products. I was VERY impressed with the quality of build, precision, and usefulness of this device. Years of Wacom design have gone into this piece and it delivers for the price.
Now the bad news - you don't get the detail, nuance and pressure-sensitivity of the Intuos pen (higher end Wacom Tablet) with the Bamboo. If you are a computer illustrator you will eventually want the higher end tablet. But many of us don't need the pressure-sensitivity of the more expensive pen (as i found with my new Bamboo.) Five stars to me I was very impressed.(138 of 142 people found this review useful)

I bought this awhile back, and figured I would hold off on a review until I really knew all of it's capabilities. It is really a g…Read morereat (and affordable) gadget. I am a design student, and although it is not state of art and not what a professional would call... well... professional, it works just fine for all my design needs. It also works great for just playing around and drawing. It does take some times to get used to if your a first time pen and tablet user, but once you get it, you got it! Great product, I recommend it!

It's Really Good, But...

I'm really impressed with the ease of installation and compatibility. It works for both my Windows based machine and my MacBook. …Read more My only disappointment is that I didn't pay more to get the software packages. Now I'm regretting that move just to save a few bucks. It's a fund device, but I'm left with questions about other uses than the inking on the Mac.
It's a great product. Spend the extra and get the full package.
PS
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because of the software issues which is really not their fault.(130 of 162 people found this review useful)
