This will have to do until I can afford an AppleTV. With the way the economy is right now, I'm not getting that for quite some time...

Yes, the Belkin is a reasonably solid, pretty, neutral-sounding cable. Is it worth 12x the price of an uglier no-name cable with …Read moreidentical performance? You and your white iPod can be the judge of that. However, be advised that in no way will you "enjoy great sound" simply by hooking up an iPod directly to a home stereo's RCA connectors with it. The iPod's cheap little internal digital-analog converter will send the stereo diluted, undynamic sound from your compressed mp3s and low-bitrate AAC files, and this mediocre quality will be amplified just like two tin cans on a string. To sound good let alone great, you'll want Apple lossless files on the iPod *and* an external DAC between it and the stereo. The difference will blow your mind.
