It also nearly doubles the weight and thickness of the MacBook. Also getting it on and off is a pain. That said it seems to have protected my MacBook well over the past year with the exception of the scratching it has caused.

I bought a clear InCase Hardshell for my white 13" MacBook.
Problems:
-The shell wouldn't snap onto the screen
-After 3 months In…Read moreCase mailed me a replacement
-That one wouldn't fully snap onto the screen either
-The corners of the case turned purple. (Why purple?)
-I tried cleaning it many times to no avail
-It is devilishly difficult to get the case off once its on
-Trying to get the case off eventually caused a small fracture to appear on the exterior of my MacBook (That made me really mad)
-The case adds weight and thickness to the computer
-The case limits the screens viewing range

Also, if you do decide to buy this case there's a trick to getting the screen cover off. Use your nails to gently (but with a lot of muscle) pull the two top tabs free from the screen. Once you get the top tabs free slide the case down the back of the screen until the other two tabs slide off the bottom of the screen.
I don't know why InCase doesn't tell you this but it's much easier then trying to disengage two tabs that are on the same side of the computer screen.
My Plan:
I do like having a hardshell to protect my computer because I carry it around all day but most of the time I view my InCase hardshell as an annoyance.
I think I'm going to switch to Zagg's Invisible Shield to protect against scratches and then use the InCase sleeve I have to protect against other damage.(5 of 8 people found this review useful)

My 4 month old plum Incase took a minor jolt that did no internal damage, but split the corner of the Incase into pieces as if it …Read morewere made of glass. When the Apple tech removed it gently with the proper tool, the other corners split as well. If this case were made of soft plastic or rubber it would do it's job much better and not leave splintered pieces.

I saw this on the Incase website/blog and just absolutely had to have it...went to the Toronto Eaton Centre Apple store and there …Read moreit was waiting for me. It's amazingly sleek, has a great rubberized feel/grip, is slightly transulcent so the Apple logo shines through, snaps on and stays on and is contoured perfectly for the Macbook. Now they need to release one for the Macbook Pro. The only downside is you can open the screen slightly past 95 degrees but after that its impeded by the cover...but it's not that restricted.
Great product from Incase, I use it along with the Neoprene sleeve for maximum protection and style.(506 of 592 people found this review useful)
