Overview

Designed with wearability in mind, the H2OP Audio Amphibx Waterproof Armband combines waterproof technology borrowed from H2O Audio’s deep dive housings with the wearability of a sport armband. So you get the ultimate hybrid of waterproof case and sport armband. Its unique shape and specialized materials comfortably grip your arm all the time you’re dropping in, cutting back, or wiping out.

Features

  • Waterproof to 12 ft./3.6 m.
  • LatchTight locking closure features a glandular seal that was first included in a product capable of withstanding depths down to 200 feet underwater.
  • ClearTouch window for full operation of touch and click wheel controls found on most iPod, iPhone, or other devices; UV-protected PU material won't yellow or fade in sunlight.
  • SealTight connector creates a watertight audio jack connection when paired with H2O Audio waterproof headphones; compatible with standard 3.5 mm headphone jacks.
  • Dual Flex Ring design allows strap to be adjusted to practically any arm size.
  • Unique shape and optimized surface area designed to comfortably grip your arm during active use without adding unnecessary bulk.
  • Highest quality neoprene construction to ensure the armband stays comfortably on your arm in the most extreme environments.
  • Low-profile design minimizes drag through the water.
  • Tested and reviewed by pioneering surfer/waterman, Laird Hamilton. Strap widens at attachment area so you won’t feel the Velcro against your skin.
  • Designed to float even with a device inside.

Not as good as I hoped

This product probably works better for swimmers. I bought this armband to use when I run for my iphone but I have found that it isRead more difficult to put the phone in the case and pull it out. I also have difficulty accessing my phone buttons when I am wearing the product. If you aren't planning on needing to change your music during your work out then this product will work fine. The other thing I don't like is that the product is actually really quite bulky and takes up a lot of room on my arm.

    Ruined my $300.00 ipod

This product worked great for the frist 20 times I used it but then I started to get water into the waterproof case. The first tRead moreime there was just a little bit of water but it did not ruin my ipod. I thought I just made a mistake and did not shut the waterproof contraption all the way. The second time I was overly cautious and made sure that the case clicked shut. This time a lot of water got into the waterproof case and it ruined my $300.00 ipod. The company does have a warranty on the actual case and headphones but it will not cover the ipod itself. This is something I failed to read until after my ipod was already ruined. The company H2O audio did return my money for the arm band and the headphones but they did not replace my ipod. What a bithday present that was!

Get wet and keep your iPhone dry

I've used this for jogging and then casual swimming in the ocean and the pool with my iPhone 3G. Works perfectly and does not feelRead more too heavy or bulky. The velcro strap doesn't rub my skin raw either. Very comfortable.

The armband is not as secure as their waterproof iPod shuffle armband, so you can feel the water flow underneath the armband when you swim. I had no fear of it coming off accidentally, like when I had a bad surfing wipeout and lost my iPod shuffle headset by the same company.

Fortunately, this case does float, even with my iPhone inside. So, no real worries even if there is an accident. So, feel free to float in the pool with this case nearby.

Before I go into the water though, I check to make sure there is solid contact of the rubber o-ring seal with the cover. You can easily see the blue seal ring all the way around the clear plastic cover. I can see how an accident might happen if the internal headphone cord blocks the cover from making an airtight seal.

The touchscreen does work above water, but not after the screen is (even partially) submerged.

A neat observation: the 3G services drop out when a few inches deep. All Edge and phone connectivity when about a foot deep in the ocean.

I used H2O's blue earbud headphones with this product and they are the best underwater headphones I've tried so far. Consistent good sound above and below the water.

I highly recommend this for anyone who doesn't want to leave their iPhone on the beach while they go swimming. Plus, texting while swimming is extremely gratifying.

Product did not work for me

Was wearing this product at the gym, and as I was walking around the pool, an idiot friend of mine knocked me into the pool. At fRead moreirst, I wasn't worried since I had only gone in about 4 ft, but as I was drying everything off, I opened the case and watched water poor out of it. Not happy with the results of this case. Phone still works, but still not happy.
