OK cable, but misrepresented for home stereo use

Yes, the Belkin is a reasonably solid, pretty, neutral-sounding cable. Is it worth 12x the price of an uglier no-name cable with identical performance? You and your white iPod can be the judge of that. However, be advised that in no way will you "enjoy great sound" simply by hooking up an iPod directly to a home stereo's RCA connectors with it. The iPod's cheap little internal digital-analog converter will send the stereo diluted, undynamic sound from your compressed mp3s and low-bitrate AAC files, and this mediocre quality will be amplified just like two tin cans on a string. To sound good let alone great, you'll want Apple lossless files on the iPod *and* an external DAC between it and the stereo. The difference will blow your mind.

Hooks up easy enough with a good fit to the back of the stereo receiver, but I experienced about 50% sound reduction from my normal stereo FM, CD playback audio. Cable is plenty long enough for most stereo or computer configurations.

I use this to split the audio of my MacBook Pro to my TV. Combine that with the DVI to Video w/a video cable to the same TV, it's a cheap, effective way to use Front Row on a big screen. This will have to do until I can afford an AppleTV. With the way the economy is right now, I'm not getting that for quite some time...
(I haven't taken with me in my backpack so I cannot attest to it's durability. But using it and leaving it at home is great.(5 of 5 people found this review useful)

This sturdy, quality cable is terrific! It has a nice long cord, and you can tell the great quality of it. It works great - excellent product!

Very disappointed. I plugged the cable/connectors in to my Denon and heard nothing. I thought maybe it was a bad cable or bad port so I proceeded to move other components. Low and behold as I'm switching things around I hear a FAINT musical melody. I lost 50% of the sound with the Belkin cable!
My Denon came with an iPod cable and it works perfectly with full sound, I plugged my iPhone in and it wasn't compatible. Hopefully, Denon will release an iPhone cable. Maybe I'll sell this one on Ebay and get the AV kit. Don't waste your money on this cable.(7 of 14 people found this review useful)

I bought this cable so I could play my Iphone throught my home stero. It is very durble, sturdy metal and looks very sleek also. It is plenty long for anything you'll need just if you plan to use it for you iphone you will have to buy the head phone jack adapter
