This charger is great and it looks good too. This product does not sync your ipod or iphone 3g with itunes. It does work with the iphone 3g. We have had this charger for 2 months and have had no problems. If you need to charge two iphones at the same time, than this is a great solution.

Good charger. Does what it says. Looks nice and well built.

Pros:
-Nice sleek finish and style.
-Built solid and will not slip or push over easily.
-Removes clutter and cord mess.
-Will accomodate iphones with covers on them (ex. Seidio Innocase II).

Cons:
-If you have two of the same devices (ex: 2 iPhones), Griffin will only provide an adapter for one of them.

Summery: The only thing keeping this from 5/5 stars is that Griffin didnt provide two of each adapters since it is a dual charger. Luckily I ony needed one since my iPhone has a case, it fits snuggly on the charger without any adapter needed. My wife prefers no case (crazy!), so her's gets the supplied adapter. As for not synching, it's a charger. Besides, I like to charge my phone on my nightstand. I dont keep my CPU on my nightstand so synching with the charger is pointless. I am happy I bought this product.

This product works great and cleans the clutter of the extra wires. FYI-You can only charge one of a type of iPod at a time because it comes with one adapter per model. You can do one model and another at the same time though, obviously. You can however not use a adapter and anything will fit but it is not as sturdy. This is great though because I have an iPhone 3g with a case and one without. I am able to charge both at the same time. Just know what you are buying. Love it.

I was looking to just buy a regular dock for my new Ipod Classic, and then I saw this. I deceided to get it for my iphone and ipod since it was a good way to clean up the clutter on my desk. It looks great and does a good job of charging the devices. The only problem that I have with it is that it's JUST a charger, you have to remove the ipod and plug it in to your computer to actually sync it. Which is kind of a hassle to me, and for the price, I don't really think it's worth it.

I did learn after my purchase that I needed adapter(s) for our iphone 3G's. You'd think Griffin would be sure that it was possible to charge 2 of the same device. The adapters can't cost more than 10 cents apiece.
My wife and I both have iphone 3g. The charger has only worked twice since my purchase and that was without an adapter. Also it will not work with any phone covers or cases.
Make sure you can get all adapters you need or skip this device all together and continue with the usual charger from apple that comes with the phone.

I completely agree with MB from Seattle's review.

The device is nicely designed, but its sheen is cheapened because the product lacks two complete sets of device adapters. At $50 and given Griffin's superb reputation, this is disappointing. You can buy the extra adapters, $1.99 per device ($1.99 is not for a complete set) + $5.00 shipping, but if you have multiple Apple devices, you'll easily rack up a $8 to $12 - pushing the price from $50 to $60ish. A complete set (mine came with 6 adapters) would be $12 + shipping.

I have two iPhone 3G's and was lucky to receive one of the newly shipping boxes that contains the single 3G adapter (so, I only need one more adapter for my other 3G). I own several Griffin products (perform great) and unfortunately, the decision to only include one complete set of adapters feels "cheap", which is contrary to Griffin's reputation and product quality and engineering.

The sales/marketing decision to only include one complete set of adapters should seriously be re-evaluated by Griffin - especially for a product that is clearly engineered to handle TWO devices.

I got the powerdock2 and I love it. Before I was always moving the apple dock from the computer desk to the nightstand. Since I always have music or something running on my iphone I prefer to have it docked so its sitting up. Now I can leave the apple dock on the computer desk and the powerdock on the nightstand. And now they offer a powerdock4 for charging 4 ipods/iphones.

this is the perfect solution if you want to charge 2 i pods at the same time in your home, it is not good for traveling but great for home.The adapters are perfect also, therefore 5 stars.
