System Requirements
For setup and administration:
- Macintosh computer with Mac OS X v10.4 or later, Ethernet or wireless networking capability
- PC with Windows XP (SP2) or Windows Vista, CD drive, Ethernet or wireless networking capability
For wireless client access:
- Mac with AirPort or AirPort Extreme wireless capability
- PC with 802.11a/b/g/n
For shared printing:
- USB printer
- Macintosh computer with Mac OS X v10.2.7 or later
- PC with Windows XP (SP2) or Windows Vista; Bonjour for Windows included on AirPort Express CD
For iTunes music streaming:
- Stereo or powered speakers
- Audio cable
- iTunes 4.6 or later
- (1) The AirPort Express Base Station is based on an IEEE 802.11n draft specification and is compatible with IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, and IEEE 802.11g.
- (2) Based on a comparison with Apple's 802.11g products. Comparison assumes AirPort Express network with 802.11n-enabled computer. Speed and range will be less if an 802.11a/b/g product joins the network. Accessing the wireless network requires an AirPort- or AirPort Extreme-enabled computer or other Wi-Fi Certified 802.11a/b/g-enabled computer. Actual performance will vary based on range, connection rate, site conditions, size of network, and other factors. Range will vary with site conditions.
- (3) Wireless Internet access requires a wireless-enabled computer, a base station or other access point, and Internet access (fees may apply). Some ISPs are not currently compatible with AirPort Express.

I used this to extend the range of my Time Capsule.
Easy to setup 5/5 as it couldn't be any simpler than it was!
Performance is go…Read moreod, but it does slow down the backup slightly to my TC from my MBP.
I can get 54Mbs and excellent signal strength on the older laptops running over wireless g (up from 11Mbs direct to the TC with poor signal strength).
Haven't used any of the other features as it does what I need as a range extender.(2 of 2 people found this review useful)

One …Read moreairport express is used just to stream music to a portable device via AirTunes (analog) and the another one I used to stream music too but digital (toslink) to my AV receiver and give network access to my media player. Highly recommended.

Bought the Airport Express on September 2008. Since I always read and appreciate good reviews. I Decided to use it for a whi…Read morele before I put in my 2 Cents. From my experience the veredict is... Airport express is by FAR the BEST product in it's category !!!! I have two laptops ( one mac and a PC), a printer and my home theater system all hooked up to it and never had a problem. I definitely recomend it !!!
P.S. You guys should REALLY add Airtunes to all your other related products. It's the coolest feature...(10 of 10 people found this review useful)

WOW! i just bought my airport express hotness at the apple store in cincinnati (best apple store in the world! - JD in the back …Read moreis the MAN!). i hooked it up to my existing airport extreme network, and it was set up and connected in about 37 seconds. this thing rocks! i have my samsung laser printer hooked up to and my bose computer speakers connected in my room, and this thing works like a charm! go get one - you can use it as a charger for your iPod or iPhone too! the fact that they didn't raise the price makes it an even better deal. this thing is genius...
