    The Good and Really Bad

    Written by RM from Sacramento

At first I really feel in love with this bag. It seemed like a slick design, but the more I used it things started to annoy me. FiRead morerst, the top strap seemed to flop around and did not stick down. Second, ripping started to occur in all places inside the bad. I cannot recommend this bag due to the average design and poor durability.

    Caution about the strap

    Written by JM from Lethbridge

Functionally I think this bag is great. Roomy, sturdy... all that good stuff.

I do have a complaint with the strap though. On mRead morey bag at least, there was a little protrusion in the strap. Some of the fibers weren't flush with the rest of the strap. Those fibers tore my jacket with-in an hour of buying the bag.

My advice, don't wear a nice fancy jacket or shirt while wearing the bag and you'll be OK.

    Definitely too big...

    Written by EL from Oakland

I've owned the Small Alley for quite awhile now, and am totally in love with it. However after getting a Macbook Pro recently I foRead moreund that it didn't fit, but only by an inch of so length wise, width it fits perfectly. The flap is able to close, but barely, as the laptop pokes out about and inch - inch and a half. Anything else in the bag beyond the power adapter and a magazine and it doesn't work. After a couple months of using it like this the velcro has started to wear out as well.

Should have read the dimensions of this one a bit, it has a HUGE amount of space on either side of the laptop, and just feels bulky in general. They must have been ensuring those Dell "desktop replacements" could fit inside.

STM, how about making the Small Alley just a tad taller?

Good quality at a low price

I've looked at many other bags before buying this one, and for all of the cases in its price range I liked this one the best. TheRead more reinforced casing for my MacBook Pro is enough to make me feel secure about using the shoulder strap and swinging my computer around. The additional pockets are useful and the look of the overall bag is not as flashy as some of the other ones out there. Overall, for being a college student and carrying my computer everwhere, this bag does a great job keeping things safe and comfortable.

Warning!!!! Rain gets into laptop compartment!!

Written by RB from Ann Arbor

Fashionable and small -- the bag has a fatal flaw. Returned it immediately.

While you can't see it well in the photos, there isRead more about a half inch open on each side of the TOP of this bag where the flap folds over. This opening goes DIRECTLY into the laptop portion of this bag -- IF IT RAINS WATER GOES DIRECTLY INTO THE LAPTOP COMPARTMENT

Do not get this bag if you live where there is rain, snow, or heavy dust. Apparently they don't have any of those problems in Australia where the bag was designed.

    LOVE IT!!

Great bag! I have been using this bag for 3 months now everday for my mac book pro and I feel completely safe with it. The paddiRead moreng is sufficient, and there is definitely tons of space. My only complaint is the amount of room left in the computer compartment of the bag. I would have preferred something more tailored for the laptop only. But still, great bag, shoulder strap is fairly comfortable.
