There are good reasons for being a Bose …Read morefan: they produce systems which are both delightful to the ears and the eyes. The SoundDock II is a perfect companion for the ipod/iphone, producing a rich warm tone with a good base and solid treble. The speakers are expensive at £220 but the quality will be appreciated for a long time to come.

I have had mine over a year now and charge my i-pod touch through it so I don't understand the previous reviewers difficulty. I love digital radio and play my radio through the speaker too.
In essence if you want a simple high quality sound in a small home office (or bedroom) as I do and with the added bonus of being able to take it into the garden or on a picnic or by the pool this is for you. Fit for the purpose it was designed for.(16 of 17 people found this review useful)

I didn't purchase this through Apple Store but from a high street chain after recommendation from a friend who was their Product M…Read moreanager. We took it on our honeymoon and were/are very pleased with image, sound quality and battery life. It also comes with a charger with UK and EU converters. As a musician I was more than satisfied with the sound quality given it's portability constraints and outlasted our time by the pool. One criticism is the limited control of the iPod by the Bose remote, but that's livable given all it's other plus points. It went in hold luggage and was perfectly OK at end of each trip. A++++

The saying goes "You pay for what you get" and thats so true in this case, the sound quality is unbelievable ! when we went to out…Read more local Apple store at the Trafford Centre we tried and tested several speaker docks that where Iphone 3G and new Ipod Touch compatible to meet me and my partners needs and we always came back to this one !

It sounds excellent for the size and price and it works flawlessly wit…Read moreh all my iPods and my 3G iPhone. At a little more than half the price of the B&W Zep, it doesn't sound as good but then again, it doesn't look ridiculous! Nicely screwed together too.
