Band is too small
Written by CW from Livonia

I was excited when I was given one of these as a gift.
Then I tried to use it. It is very difficult to get my Nano in and out of…Read more this, there's no hole at the top to allow you access to the lock switch, and it seems to be developed for people that are stick thin.
I'm not a body builder or anything, and this thing barely fits around my bicep. If I flex at all, it becomes way too tight and feels like it is going to cut me. I can wear it around my forearm, but that just feels odd to me so I gave up on using this.
I highly recommend that you look at other armbands and not purchase this one.(1 of 3 people found this review useful)

This thing is excellent

I do not know why there are negative reviews of this piece of kit.
Yes it is tight on the ipod and you have to put it in carefull…Read morey, but that holds it nice and tight (how anyone managed to scratch the screen (or screen cover) is beyond me.
As for it not being too small to go round people arms - well I can get it on my bicep (with a little bit of strap to spare but not much) and I have pretty big biceps (I used to do a lot of weight training and I do a job that involves lots of heavy lifting).
Anyway, I wear it on my forearm where it is easy to control.
Completely comfy - not itchy at all.
Ipod easy to control through the cover.
Could not be more happy with it.
Unless you have arms like a pipe cleaner, or are a bodybuilder on steroids with massive biceps then buy this thing. It is the best armband I've ever had.(2 of 2 people found this review useful)

Total failure
Written by RT from Doral

I am sorry to say that, but this armband is a failure. I've been a VERY loyal user of Nike armbands since Nano 2nd gen. I had alwa…Read moreys loved the "no loop" design with a smooth, elastic material that will both fit nicely and not strangulate your arm. I didn't think twice before getting the Nike armband along with my new Nano. When I opened the box and saw the plastic loop I was a little bit skeptical, but what the heck, it is the Nike armband, it couldn't be that bad!
Unfortunately, it is THAT bad. Main reasons are:
1 - The plastic loop. It will invariably pinch your arm when you try to adjust the armband. Not nice.
2 - The fabric is not elastic or at least not as elastic as on previous designs. This translates into a stiff armband strangulating your arm. Not a good idea to block your arm's blood flow when doing physical activities.
3 - Nike + iPod receiver - It doesn't have a place for the receiver. The bottom part of the receiver will stay in contact with your skin. And it kind of has sharp edges and will annoy you during a long run. I got a slight bruise from the friction on my last long-ish run of around 15km.
4 - Hard to remove from the armband - It is hard to remove the Nano from the armband. You have to squeeze it on the top part of the pouch, i.e., on the translucent plastic part. This will dent the plastic and may scratch your new Nano's screen.
5 - Hard to plug headphones when the Nano is inserted. Although there is no special space for the Nike receiver, the pouch is a little deeper than the Nano's height. Then it becomes kind of hard to plug headphones to the unit when it is already inserted.
Sorry Nike, this armband is a failure. Please come up with a replacement similar to the successful previous designs.(437 of 486 people found this review useful)

Nike Sport Armband for iPod nano
Good but too small...
Written by BE from Cordova

Conceptually I really like this armband. Nike also fixed the problem I had with the 3g armband letting sweat get inside the case,…Read more so from a technical perspective they are 50% better than the 3g armband. (Actually they fixed the sweating issue on the 3g armband too but didn't tell anyone.)
One great feature of this armband that's tough to find on others, is the tight fit of the plastic window and the raised menu button. It makes it so much easier to find the dial and because it fits so tight it makes it very easy to change volume. It also makes it less likely you'll accidently change the volume when trying to press the menu button to check your progress.
However, where they missed big is on the size of the armband, and the reason I can only give this product 4 stars. I have what I consider "normal" size arms for someone 5'11" and not overweight. I can barely get it on. It's very uncomfortable right now, one more inch and I'd be fine. This case is nowhere as flexible as the 3g case, but I'm hoping that it will change over time.(213 of 241 people found this review useful)

Complete Failure
Written by JC from Toronto

I purchased this product from a Nike store in Canada. When I went to buy it, not only did it take them 15 minutes to figure out wh…Read moreat it was, but they tried to over charge me!
The next morning, when I went to go for a run, I tried to put the nano in, and get going. Even without the receiver, I worked up a sweat trying to get the nano inside the armband. I realized that it needed to be stretched out for it to fit, so this problem should go away over time.
And while the material has a great feel, the stretching capacity of the band is less then impressive. I am 15 years old, and i go to the gym about 90 minutes a week, mostly focussing on my legs for hockey. I by no means have large arms, but I am at the edge of the band on my biceps, but too loose on my forearm.
I have had numerous problems with my Nike+, which I was initially very excited over, and Nike has been absolutely awful throughout this whole process. I wish that Apple would step in, and have Nike conform to THEIR code of conduct when it comes to dealing with the consumer. Apple was great and very helpful. Nike, you can learn from Apple a great deal.(226 of 292 people found this review useful)
