You can place an international order using an American Express, MasterCard, or Visa credit card associated with a billing address within the 50 United States or one of the following U.S. territories:

When you shop for friends and family living abroad, you will be billed in the currency of the country where you want your products to be delivered. For example, if you shop the Apple Online Store Mexico, you will be billed in pesos. Apple does not charge a fee for international orders, however, your bank will determine exchange rates when the order is shipped and your credit card is charged. Any additional charges for an international transaction are determined by banking partners and the issuer of your credit card. Please contact your credit card issuer for details.

Gift Messaging

For most items in our store, you can include a gift message on the packing slip — at no charge.

When you select to put an item in your cart, just check the box that says “This is a gift” or “Add a free gift message.” You’ll be prompted to create your message after you’ve finished shopping and have selected to check out. If your order includes items intended for different recipients, you can enter a message for each item so that when the gifts arrive, it will be clear which item is intended for whom. At this time, the Apple Online Store does not support shipping items in a single order to multiple shipping addresses. To send gifts to different addresses, please place a new order through the Apple Online Store — one order per shipping address.

And don’t worry about pricing information being displayed for gift items. For all orders, the price is only included in the email notifications and never on the packing slips in the box. So if you have a gift shipped directly to family or friends, they won’t see the cost.

Gift Wrapping

When you order a new iPod, iPhone, or select Apple-branded software and accessories, you can add a special touch to your gift: the Apple Gift Package (subject to availability). The Apple Gift Package is a signature gift box with a red ribbon and a greeting card with your personal message.

Look for the gift icon on a product page to find out if the Apple Gift Package is available.

How to add gift packaging:
  • When you add an iPod or iPhone in your cart just check the box that says "This is a gift" and you will automatically be given the option to add gift packaging.
  • When you add a gift-eligible software or accessory to your cart, you'll have the option to choose the Apple Gift Package during checkout.

Gift Cards and
Certificates

There are three types of gift cards that you can purchase from the Apple Online Store: Apple Gift Cards, iPhone Gift Cards, and iTunes Gift Cards.

iTunes Gift Certificates are also available for purchase exclusively through the iTunes Store.

Apple Gift Cards

  • Apple Gift Cards take the guesswork out of giving a gift. Your friends and family can choose exactly what they want from our huge collection of Mac, iPod, and accessory items at any Apple Store in the U.S. — online, by phone, or at an Apple Retail Store.
  • How to Purchase Apple Gift Cards
    Apple Gift Cards can be purchased from the Apple Online Store in any amount between $25-$2500. Apple Gift Cards can be purchased over the phone at 1-800-MY-APPLE for any dollar amount.

  • How to Use Apple Gift Cards
    Apple Gift Cards can be redeemed in any Apple Retail Store, on the Apple Online Store, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Apple Gift Cards can be used only in the U.S.

    In an Apple Retail Store, simply present the card to the cashier at time of payment. If you are using your Apple Gift Card at the Apple Online Store or over the phone at 1-800-MY-APPLE, you’ll need to provide the 16-digit card number and 8-digit PIN (to be scratched off). Remember to keep the card in your possession until your item(s) have been delivered.

    You can use up to eight Apple Gift Cards at the Apple Online Store or if placing an order over the phone at 1-800-MY-APPLE. You can use up to six Apple Gift Cards for one transaction when you purchase at an Apple Retail Store. You can combine your Apple Gift Card(s) with one credit card to pay for your purchase.

    You cannot use Apple Gift Cards to purchase another Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Certificate, or for purchases at the iTunes Store. To purchase music, TV shows, movies, and games, see the iTunes Gift Cards section of online Help.
  • Checking Your Apple Gift Card Balance
    You can check your Apple Gift Card balance by visiting Your Account or by calling 1-888-320-3301.
  • Lost or Stolen Cards
    To report a lost or stolen Apple Gift Card, please contact Apple at any Apple Retail Store location or by telephone at 1-800-MY-APPLE. Replacement cards will be issued after Apple verifies that the lost or stolen card has not been redeemed and you present your original purchase receipt. Apple is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.

iPhone Gift Cards

  • Buy an iPhone Gift Card at the Apple Online Store and your recipient can stop by an Apple Retail Store to redeem it for an iPhone, accessories, and other items. An Apple Retail Store Specialist will activate your recipient's iPhone, set up email, help customize the Home screen, choose some great iPhone applications, personalize ringtones, and find their favorite songs.
  • How to Purchase iPhone Gift Cards
    iPhone Gift Cards can be purchased from the Apple Online Store in any amount between $25-$2500.

  • How to Use iPhone Gift Cards
    iPhone Gift Cards can be redeemed at any Apple Retail Store in the U.S. Simply present the card to the Apple Retail Store Specialist and redeem it toward the cost of a new iPhone. The card recipient can also:

  • Create a new iPhone account using a convenient online process.
  • Select a time to visit a nearby Apple Retail Store to pick up a new iPhone.
  • Meet personally with an Apple Retail Store Specialist to set up and customize the iPhone.
  • Purchase iPhone accessories, and all things Mac and iPod.

  • iPhone Gift Cards can also be redeemed for anything on the Apple Online Store, including iPhone, iPhone accessories, and all things Mac and iPod.
  • You can use up to six iPhone Gift Cards for one transaction when you purchase at an Apple Retail Store. You can combine your iPhone Gift Card(s) with one credit card to pay for your purchase.
  • You cannot use an iPhone Gift Card to purchase an Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Card/Certificate, or for purchases at the iTunes Store. To purchase music, TV shows, movies, and games, see the iTunes Gift Cards section of online Help.
  • iPhone Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash except in certain states, cannot be used to purchase any additional gift cards, and cannot be applied as payment to any account.
  • Checking Your iPhone Gift Card Balance
    You can check your iPhone Gift Card balance by visiting Your Account or by calling 1-888-320-3301.
  • Lost or Stolen Cards

iTunes Gift Cards and Certificates

  • iTunes Gift Cards and Certificates can be redeemed for songs, albums, audiobooks, videos, and games on the iTunes Store. They cannot be used to buy Apple products. To purchase items outside of the iTunes Store, visit the Apple Gift Cards section of online Help.
  • iTunes Gift Cards vs. Gift Certificates
    iTunes Gift Cards are sent by mail, tucked into an attractive folder with an optional personal message. Find out more from the Gift Messaging section of online Help. They are available from the Apple Online Store in $15, $25, and $50 denominations.

    iTunes Gift Certificates are sent by email within minutes of your order. They are available exclusively through the iTunes Store. For more information about iTunes Gift Certificates, visit apple.com/itunes/store/gifts.html
  • How to Purchase iTunes Gift Cards
    To purchase an iTunes Gift Card at the Apple Online Store, you will need a U.S. issued major credit card with a U.S. billing address, or you can use Bill Me Later. To find out more about these payment methods, visit the Payment & Pricing section of online Help.

  • How to Use iTunes Gift Cards and Certificates
    To use an iTunes Gift Card or Certificate you must first download the latest version of iTunes.

    Gift Cards and Certificates are valid for use only in the country in which they were purchased. Only residents of the U.S may redeem gift certificates purchased in the U.S.

    To redeem iTunes Gift Cards or Certificates, go to the iTunes Store and in the “Quick Links” section in the right column, select “Redeem.” Or go to the iTunes Store "Redeem Code" area directly by visiting apple.com/itunes/store/gifts.html

    In the resulting screen, enter your iTunes Gift Card or Certificate code in the field. If you are redeeming an iTunes Gift Card you need to use the 16-digit code on the back of your card (to be scratched off). If you are redeeming an iTunes Gift Certificate you need to use the certificate number listed on your email certificate. Enter the numbers exactly as they appear.

    Once you redeem your iTunes Gift Card or Certificate, the full amount appears as a credit next to your Apple ID in the upper-right part of the _aw_window. Any time you buy an item, the purchase price (+ tax) will be deducted from the balance.
